  • Columbia Restaurant - Ybor City, Sand Key in Tampa

Columbia Restaurant - Ybor City, Sand Key

All of the tapas were amazing. The mushrooms were huge. Hubby doesn’t really eat spinach or artichoke hearts but he loved them anyway. The flatbread was not what you usually see at a Cuban or Spanish restaurant and it was a great change of pace.

  • Biscayne Tavern in Miami

    Biscayne Tavern

I would absolutely recommend Biscayne Tavern if you’re in the downtown Miami area. They even have a monthly beer dinner. If we lived down here, we would definitely be regulars.

  • Grille One Sixteen in Tampa

    Grille One Sixteen

We haven't been to Grille One Sixteen in ages. When it first opened we went there a lot. It was a breath of fresh air for Carrollwood: stunning, Vegas-esque decor, quality food, and good drinks. But then it became a real middle-age meat market populated by douchebags and the women who love them. So we quit going. Then we went back a while later and the menu had stagnated and the liquor selection was sparse. So we didn't go for a while after that. But Hubby looked at the menu and decided he wanted to give it a shot for his early birthday dinner. I'm very glad we gave it another chance.

  • Cafeteria Restaurant in New York

    Cafeteria Restaurant

For dinner we went to Beauty & Essex. This place was neat. You walk into a pawn shop, a real one, and there is a hidden door that leads you into the restaurant, which is huge! The outside looks like a rundown building and is not very inviting, but the giant bright yellow flashing sign lets you know you are in the right place. The drinks here were awesome! Very tasty.

  • Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

When we first started going to Fleming’s a few years ago, we always sat in the bar and had burgers because the menu was very “steakhouse” (steaks, wedge salad, etc.). Hubby doesn’t...

Charley's Steakhouse & Market Fresh Fish

A pleasant surprise! I like a lot about this restaurant. We went to the bar to start off and they had a large selection of spirits and wines. The bartenders knew how to make a drink. Big, giant, full drinks...

    Brick House Tavern + Tap

Hubby wanted to get dinner after my class but I wouldn’t be home until almost 9:30, which rules out a lot of restaurants (because they close at 10). We KNOW you don’t get the best food or service when you walk...

  • Sidebern's in Tampa

    Sidebern's

I know this is ridiculous: we had never been to SideBern’s before. Until recently, their food was, honestly, a little too adventurous for us. I’ve always liked food but my mom was a product of her generation: a nice meal out meant a steakhouse...

  • Capital Grille in Tampa

    Capital Grille

After visiting The Capital Grille on our Dishcrawl, we were eager to go back. Hubby hadn’t eaten a meal there in about 10 years; I had never eaten there before Dishcrawl. Hubby was at Cigar City stalking barrel-aged Hunahpu this particular evening and I was on my back from Pinellas County; over the phone, we decided to meet at Capital Grille for a late dinner...
