  • Table 1280 Restaurant in Atlanta

    Table 1280 Restaurant

Without a doubt, excellent and welcoming service at Table 1280 made my meal taste a whole lot better, although I’m sure it would be delicious with a mediocre experience. Would I consider dining there again? Absolutely! I may have to bring a heartier appetite for the three-course, $25 menu.

  • Libby's Cafe and Bar in Sarasota

    Libby's Cafe and Bar

I'm a fish taco gal and enjoyed the 7-Day Famous Mahi Tacos ($19). Three soft tortillas overflowed with blackened fish; an Aztec slaw which included shredded carrots and zucchini; chipotle sour cream; avocado; and Pico di Gallo accompanied by crisp and thin french fries.

  • Nancy's Bar-B-Q in Sarasota

    Nancy's Bar-B-Q

I'm not ashamed to admit I inhaled my pulled pork sandwich at Nancy's Bar-B-Q in Sarasota, Fla., in mere minutes. It wasn't because I was in a hurry but because it was insanely delicious. • Owen's Fish Camp in Sarasota

    Owen's Fish Camp

The tab was a little more than I'm accustom to spending and despite not liking my entree, was worth it for the ambiance. I plan a return visit to try the fish tacos, the fried soft shell crab BLT, Randal's seafood stew…yeah, there's a lot on the menu I'm hoping to taste on a return visit.

Such was the case during last month’s trip to Keystone, Colo., when a local suggested I try Haywood Cafe near Keystone Resort for lunch...

    Serendipity 3

I had read about hour wait times and long lines just to be seated in Serendipity 3. Reservations are only accepted for meals and not desserts. On a Wednesday afternoon around 3 p.m., I rolled the dice and showed up...

    Queen of Sheeba

More than two years ago I met a kind gentleman on a flight between Atlanta and Tallahassee. We began talking, I asked if he had a tattoo because he was from Portland, Ore., and of the other things I remembered about our 36-minute...

  • King Tut's Grill

My Diet Coke was served in a flower vase, the restaurant owner performed a magic trick, and an Egyptian headdress was available to wear while dining. Welcome to King Tut Grill in Knoxville, Tenn., offering a quirky, yet delicious dining experience in South Knoxville...
