Jack's is definitely an Albany tradition and has been in it's present location more than 75 years. Open for lunch and dinner, the wood panelled dining room and abundance of service (like the old days...you have waiters and busboys falling over each other to make sure you have want you need but not to the level of being annoying). A bar is connected to the restaurant portion if you wish to have a drink before/after your meal. The prices are very reasonable (figure about $20/person unless you want more expensive wines or the pricier entrees). Parking can be tight especially during the weekday at lunchtime. However a pay parking garage is just around the corner.

This place is great. I ordered chicken pomodoro and also tried the salmon and scrod. Both were amazing. The waiters, especially Leon, are really nice and very proper. Elegant and a nice place to be :)

Head over to Jack's for lunch. Fine dining service for very few bucks. The burgers are outstanding.
