  • MorganC reviewI've visited South City many times over the years and it has become one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. It is an ideal place to dine immediately before or after a visit to the High Museum, Alliance, or other adjacent cultural opportunities. The staff is sensitive to the needs of those in a hurry to make a rising curtain. Personal favorites include include the chicken liver and corn appetizer, sinfully rich she-crab soup, and the grilled shrimp and scallops over stone-ground grits in garlic gravy. My only complaint might be that the atmosphere is a tad boisterous, so those looking for quiet conversation over their meal should perhaps look elsewhere. Otherwise, tuck in! Reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends.
