For over a year, my dear friend Elizabeth and I have been trying to find time in our busy schedules for dinner. We finally got together this weekend at Vivo on Manor Road in Austin...
Excellent margaritas..All I can say is wow..!!!Cali.nachos are huge.I thought I was hungry..full order no way will I ever finish them.

Cucumber Margarita and the fluffy tacos excellent choices
by Nicholas O.
It has changed a lot over the many years. Not for the better. Food and service have both declined while prices have increased. There's always Mi Madres!
I Enjoy their frozen Margarita, especially in Summer,

Great Margaritas. Beautiful deck with tons of foliage and a water fall. Get a seat next to it! Indoors has really large screens at the bar and it's a great place to watch games. Awesome spot.
Chicken enchilada with vegetarian sauce = delicious!
by Justin B.
Ask for the really hot green sauce if you like spicy sauces. it is soooo good.
Bring your out of state friends here and make them eat the hot salsa... Then point and laugh.

Vivo offers an impressive selection of specialty margaritas flavored with everything from tamarind to hibiscus; our favorite is the Cucumber Margarita.

The chalupas are amazing!

Best tortilla soup

If you're doing the Cali nachos as an entree, don't let your server talk you into getting a full order, it's WAY too much food. Go for the half.

Love this place. Such a very laid back atomosphere. The Shrimp Tacos & the Strawberry Margarita was delicious!
by Courtney T.
Get the Top Shelf Martini with Milagro. The chips are excellent. Great friendly deck. Plenty of parking. Happy hour from 3-6.

The cucumbers margs are where it's at.

Do yourself a favor and request their amazing homemade corn tortillas when you, you've never had anything like them before! Also can't go wrong w/ their tortilla soup! (bowl not cup of course)

Prickly pear margaritas rock. Fresh puree'd ingredients.
by Tobias S.
Here's a tip: go somewhere else. Three bad experiences in a row. Condescending hostess and painfully slow service.
by Chad C.
Try the vegetarian enchiladas and the Cali nachos. And the limeade is awesome. Getsome.
by Maoz A.
Best corn tortillas you have tasted in your whole life, & you can quote me on that! Not the regular ones, specifically ask them for an order of the "homemade corn tortillas". You're welcome!
by Ivy M.
Bartender chick seems a bit menstrual! I really like this place but service is very important to me. She must not want her tip. Don't sit at the bar!
by Johanna M.
Try the Emma's Plate #Puffytacos (via @Foodspotting)
by Jason L.
I rarely go out of my way for vegetarian dishes, but the California nachos are the bomb. I wouldn't ruin them with meat. Throw in a cucumber margarita with black sea salt and your set.

Shrimp enchiladas are amazing
by Melissa C.
Mango margarita is wonderful. A coating of Mango purée coats the inside of the goblet. No extra sugar. Outstanding!
by Jody J.
You get a rose!

Try the Viva Ria...Amazing!!!!
by Gina L.
Reserve the private and very sexy back room and then take bets as to how many people will walk in looking for the bathroom (also sexy). We're at fifteen right now!
by Callie L.
Watermelon Margarita is Awesome!! BUTTT they ran out of Roses for the ladies!!!

Frozen Margartia & chile enchiladas. That is all

PUFFY TACOS!! You won't be disappointed.
by Jaci H.
I'm a fan of te cucumber margarita. On the rocks of course.
by Ryan H.
If you visit the bar, be sure to ask for Katrisha.
by Drew C.
I love the chips! So puffy, so great
by RexAnn S.
The Tres Leches is a little pricey, but well worth it. Just do it.
by Jennifer H.
Overall it was a pretty average meal. They do a nice job with their tomatillo enchiladas. Their puffy taco with picadillo was pretty bland and their salsa was a bit too heavy with ground onion.
by Murali K.
Try the Pasta with Clams and spot it on Foodspotting!
Vivo now has a happy hour from 3-6pm Monday through Friday and a service industry night on Sundays. Good food and cheap drinks = awesome!
by Jason H.
Roger brings the best from San Antonio and Austin together here at Vivo. Some of the best margaritas in town...the coolest patio on east side!
