  • pataky reviewThe food was good, but we suffered terrible service. The waitress had a `teen-age childish attitude`, as if she canít wait to go home. She was very rough, throwing plates and cutleries everywhere. She brought check before asking if we wanted dessert or coffee. She threw the check in the end, and chocolate candies dropped on to the floor. Outrageous service charge was added to the check, and when we questioned about it, she said `It's only a suggested charge we put on for the party of 5 or more`... hello? we were a party of 3... We are the kind of people who don't mind spending money if it's the money well spent. After our complaints, we saw the waitress deliberately sniggering and chitchatting with the fellow wait staff to make us feel bad. But the nightmare didn't end here. The next day, I called the restaurant to complain about the service. I spoke to the manager. He never said `Sorry` til the end. As a manger, the first thing he should say is `Iím sorry you suffered terrible service`, but instead, the first thing he said was `You guys were there until 9:30pm, when you were supposed to have left at 9pm`... for the record, no one told us about the time limit. If we had known, of course we would have left at 9pm. Anyway, that doesn't justify bad service, does it? He said he would talk to the waitress, but what I wanted was the apology for ruining the important night. Instead, he treated me as another angry customer, which case can be dropped and be forgotten. What really got me was, when my friend reviewed the restaurant a year ago for the local magazine, the service was excellent. Last night, we went as ourselves... and that's what we got. I really hope the owner would read this review (skip manager!), although I am sure they would think of every excuse to prove that I'm the one who is insane!! I am Never Never going back! And would seize any opportunity to tell the public what I experienced.

  • Kathleen B.Best thing about this place? You don't have to choose! Instead of one entree, order half a risotto and half an entree. Best of both worlds!!! Brilliant.
