  • a_spamtrap reviewYou HAVE to go! I have lived in Massachusetts all of my life, and have always wanted to go to the Top of the Hub - now I am glad I did! The food was excellent, the service was perfection, and the VIEWS - well, you just have to see for yourself. I HIGHLY recommend a visit to the Top of the Hub, then hop down to the SkyWalk for even more fantastic views of Boston!

  • BostonCitizen reviewWent there several years ago with my father for dessert and drinks in the late evening. Servers were courteous and prompt, and the food we ordered was good. Wonderful night-time views.

  • apollobay reviewThe view of the city from restaurant and bar is first class, but the people handling reservations during the day are decidedly proletarian. We decided to go elsewhere this year.

  • rudnickas reviewRecently I took some first-time Boston visitors to the Top Of The Hub for lunch. They were hesitant because they had read that it was pricey. I told them that lunch was on me. Well, they were very surprised at how reasonable the tab was for 4 people. They loved the food, the service, the ambiance and especially the view. They made it a point to eat there twice more before returning to CA. I have been frequenting the TOTH for decades. When in Boston, it is a must place to dine.

  • boston1968 reviewMy spouse, his colleagues, and visiting professionals dined here last July. The experience at the restaurant overall was good except for one mishap. The waiter spilled some port wine on my husband's coat and dress shirt. Accidents happen. The waiter did what he could to clean the spill. We had the clothes professionally cleaned, the wine stains did not come out. I contacted management on two occasions to see if they could at least pay the cleaning bill, once speaking directly to a manager, the other time i left a voice message, but never heard a word back from them. Based on this poor customer service, we can not recommend this restaurant.

  • orangeyglow reviewThe view, of course, was awesome. The service was great. Our waitress was right on top of everything. The food came out quick and our orders were correct. The main courses (I had swordfish; my date had chicken) were wonderful! However, all the side dishes were severely lacking. A `fresh fruit` dish came with mine, and it was horrible. The prices didn't really match up with just the meat, but we had a nice dessert (rasberry and mango mousse cake) to top it off. My date's opinion: I would recommend visiting this restaurant for a dessert or bar only visit. The food is trying to be too gourmet/fancy for its own good. They should stick too sauces and combinations that actually taste good to the regular person. The `experience` is great, so if you're trying to impress someone, then this is your pick.

  • rudnickas reviewI had a wonderful experience. The view was spectacular, food was so delicious, and the service was perfect. It is expensive but it's gourmet food done in a wonderful presentation. Not a place to bring children. It was very romantic. We had the Chef's five course choice which all melted in our mouths. Portions are small but this isn't the Outback Steakhouse. Go to McDonald's if you have a problem with prices and service.

  • apollobay reviewThe atmosphere and view are worth a first trip, but they're the only positive aspects of this place! For $3 you can get the same view on the Skywalk! The menu is over priced and the service is horrible. Overall it was a very over-rated experience.

  • jmastranunzio reviewThe Host don't listen if you tell them its a surprise party. The Maitre D doesn't care if the cake you order is wrong. Tells you he will `speak` to the person who took the order. The desert comes out first with a 1/2 hour wait for the coffee and cappuchino. The host at the front and the Maitre D could use some customer service training and add some warmth to their personally. Spent $788.00 for a 50th party of 10. Next time I'll go to The Bay Towers-- I know they will get things right!!!

  • kali088mo reviewWe took my parents to the Top of the Hub in January 2006 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The waitstaff were professional and helpful, the view was beautiful (by the window) and the food was terrific. I was quite happy with the entire experience. I plan to return in the future.

  • halflimey_19999 reviewThis place is so overrated it's ridiculous. The only thing it has going for it is it's unique dining atmosphere on top of the Prudential. Other than that I will never go back there again. For what you're paying for the food itself is nothing spectacular and regard to the portions? prepare to go out after eating there to fill your stomach up because their dinners are more like appetizers!

  • MJT1964 reviewThe nice view doesn't make up for the average food and service. If you want to see the city from the Prudential, just go to the Skywalk, and you won't end up wasting money on this overpriced food.

  • tguy1 reviewWe took my father there for his 50th birthday a few years ago. The view alone was worth the price. It was one of the best nights we had. The food was exquisit, and the service was great.

  • paul7 reviewI recently dined here to celebrate my aunt's 65th birthday. The wait staff was horrible to the point they were almost abusive to us and rushed the tasting menu trying to take each course while we were still eating it. We complained and the manager LYLE was even more rude than the waitsaff. There are much nicer restaurants in Boston.

  • D3 reviewI was lucky enough to eat at this establishment a few weeks ago. Four of us came for lunch and were very pleased with everything Top of the Hub had to offer. Our waiter was Scott, a very nice man who wasn't too bad to look at either. We said we were from Sacramento, CA and he mentioned he had an aunt who lived in Napa. Just wanted to let Scott know that if he ever needed a place to stay in California, he is more than welcome to stay with me in Sacramento. Thanks for such a wonderful eperience!!!~Jennifer Baker

  • lagagain reviewDefinitely don't waste your money. We ate there last night for Valentine's Day. Our waiter was nice but that is about it. The food was the quality of the 99 Restaurant here in NH. My husband had chicken that was drier than anything he's ever eaten before and my steak was a chunk of pure fat. I also ordered it medium and it was more than well done. Also I wore a very nice halter top for the special occasion just to find out the air conditioner was blowing right at us so the both of us ate in our coats. I'm writing the review for us but also because all the couples sitting around us having the same experience. Usually we celebrate Valentine's Day in the North End which is what we'll do again from now on. Lucie

This was after a short agressive manager yelled at me and told me if I did not want to wait I could leave. poor SERVICE FROM THE MANAGERS!!!!!

  • hpinette reviewcontinued from previous post... Meghan, because she knew you had waited so long, opened up the dinig room table to your group. This happens occasionally when the rest of our dinner guests have completed their dining experience. I will apologize for your long wait, however, you were informed of hte extended wait time upon your arival. As to her response, `Now you are seated, aren't you?`, wasn't quite what she had said. While you were up at the front desk complaining to her about the fact you waited so long for a table, you called her a `jerk

  • lilgurl0577 reviewMy husband and I spent New Years Eve 2002 at top of the Hub. The food was superb and the service was excellent. A really special evening was made all the better for the cloud lifting before midnight to reveal the wonderful view of Boston at night. In all, a fantastic experience and I would recommend it.

  • blah reviewMy experience today at 'The Top of the Hub' was fabulous! The service was spectacular and the view was eye-catching - great atmosphere. The food was delicious and the value, decent. If you're planning on visiting Boston, you should really try and make to this restaurant - it was wonderful!

  • pataky reviewTop of The Hub's menu reads like a practice in snobbery. The wait staff seem to take lessons in snobbery. The restaurant has great views and is very nicely laid out, but the atmosphere is an uncomfortable one. The portions are very small, and they sell chicken at Filet Mignon prices. For a nice romantic dinner I prefer Maison Robert (during the summer for outdoor dining), or Stephanie's on Newbury during winter.
