  • ChefMozDom is the master hands down. Is he slow? Yes, but you do not rush art and the wait is half of the experience. I am a long time Brooklyn Resident and have hit all of the big names in this part of town. All I have to say is that this man makes the most complex multilayered pizza in New York, if not the country. He does this without the benefit of a brick or coal oven. What he does is create his pizza, on at a time, with the highest quality ingredients. You almost wonder why there are so few others who can do the same. You owe it to yourself to go there and get a pie (Sicilian or Napolitano, with baby artichokes or without) before he closes his hands you never have the opportunity to taste what pizza could and should be. On second thought stay away the wait is long enough already.

  • ChefMozThe best pizza I've ever had. And I've tried dozens of pizza places all over New York and New Jersey. Nothing even comes close. This man puts so much love into every single pie, it's almost ridiculous. Definitely worth the trip out there from Manhattan.Experience pizza as it was meant to be. This is absolutely perfect pizza, crafted by hand by Dominick Demarco the way he has done for more than 40 years. The freshest of ingredients, the finest of care.

    55555 by ChefMoz.org

  • ChefMozI lived on East 17th Street and Ave I from 1965-1988. I grew up on DiFara's pizza. I recently went back after a 10 year abscence. Dom sure looked older, but one thing hadn't changed. The Pizza is by far the best pizza in NYC. No where even comes close in my opinion. I had two regular slices and one slice with sausage. If you love pizza, you MUST experience DiFara's!

    55555 by ChefMoz.org

  • ChefMozThe pizza is fantastic. Nothing compares with it except winning the lottery and that's a gonna come in second. Do you know what I mean? This is a pizza like you haven't ever had before unless you had the best brick oven from the 50's. And even then you probably don't remember it. So that makes this the B E S T.

    44444 by ChefMoz.org

  • ChefMozI took a trip from Manhattan into Brooklyn just to try DiFara's (based upon various published reviews which rated them highly). Much to my disappointment, it was the worst pizza I've ever had. Born and raised in NYC, well-traveled and have eaten in 5 star restaurants world-wide, experiencing the gamut even to excellent street-vendor stands; I can be called the veteran "foodie." DiFaro's pizza was burnt, not enough cheese, and to top it off, the owner was counting cash from his register and went on with unwashed hands to kneed some pizza dough, preparing for the next pizza pie. If you haven't lost your appetite yet!!!

    11111 by ChefMoz.org

  • ChefMozDomenico De Marco is a genius at making pizza, nobody puts the work and time into pizza like Domenico does: "Buffalo mozzarella," freshly grated "Parmesian regiano," oil on the pie, it's absolutely the best pizza ever! And the man spins the pie with his hands... Word of advice:? Eat the pizza now, 'cause you're eating history...Also try the square pie, puts L and B to shame...

    44444 by ChefMoz.org

  • Tom CWorth the wait Dominic is the only only one that makes the pies. He is the pizza genius.

    55555 by Tom C

  • Jen MThe plain and square pie are the ones to beat.

    55555 by Jen M

  • Saif D.It's not cheap, it's a long wait. Arguably the best pizza spot in the city.

    55555 by Saif D.

  • Nic G.dude pulls the pizza out of the oven by hand. that's prime.

    33333 by Nic G.

  • Nic G.the pizza is blissful. i waited 2 hours, and it was 100% worth it. i spent the last 30 mins watching him making the pies, which is a marvel. if you don't want to wait, you don't deserve the experience

    33333 by Nic G.

  • Liam K.If you have a big enough party you can rent it out.

    55555 by Liam K.

  • Jenna LBest pizza in NYC!

    55555 by Jenna L

  • Jâck Chéè$1 pizza shames this place. 1st two times here, badly burnt but at least ok where not burnt. this difara classic was a soggy mess uneven toppings, unsupportive crust. Best rip off pizza....

    22222 by Jâck Chéè

  • James K.Recommendation: Get there before it opens as it gets packed quick. We preferred the round pie. Sauce is amazing! 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

    55555 by James K.

  • M CDi Fara original and plain - spot on.

    55555 by M C

  • Natalie A.Don't go hungry, expect to wait 1-2 hours for a pie. Get the square pie. Best sauce!

    55555 by Natalie A.

  • Emily SThis is the best NY pizza there is. Prepare to wait longer than you're quoted but it is 100% worth it. Highly recommend a square slice with soppressata, even if you're already getting a regular pie.

    55555 by Emily S

  • Teddy LUberEats delivery

    33333 by Teddy L

  • Ross BGood, not mind-blowing. Not worth waiting two hours. Be careful of the time estimate when you ask how long it'll take; it'll be off by 4-6x. Go for the square before the round, and don't order a pie.

    33333 by Ross B

  • Erin M.Ask to use the bathroom; you get to go behind the counter.

    22222 by Erin M.

  • PureWowYou’ll have to travel to the ends of the earth and wait all afternoon for this delicately handcrafted old-school pizza pie, so just go with it and make a day of it.

    55555 by PureWow

  • PureWowYou’re bound to wait at least an hour before getting your pie at this legendary Brooklyn favorite--but don’t worry, a frosty glass of BYO Riesling will be your reward…along with incredible pizza.

    55555 by PureWow

  • markus ADelicious famous pizza. At this spot it's all about the sauce, since the crust gets quite soggy.

    55555 by markus A

  • Christopher V.The sauce was literally one of the best I've ever tasted.

    55555 by Christopher V.

  • Kodi M.If you can handle the wait (and maybe the trip), the margherita slice is the best pizza slice in NY, possibly the world. You will spend $5 and regret nothing. I have never had anything remotely close.

    55555 by Kodi M.

  • Alvin M.The Sicilian pie

    55555 by Alvin M.

  • Kathryn I.Classic pizza is perfection. BYO but hard to find anything nearby if you go on Sat. Walgreens had beer.

    55555 by Kathryn I.

  • AllisonOut of the way, but Dom DeMarco knows how to make the perfect pizza pie!🙌🍕🙌

    55555 by Allison

  • Fabian LuqueThis is an experience like no other. I don't think you're going to get a pizza like this one in any other place. Watching Domenico prepare them with love and care justifies the usual long wait.

    55555 by Fabian Luque

  • Ernesto LLong wait, great reward

    55555 by Ernesto L

  • Akira KI think I died and went to pizza heaven. It's as good as they say. Go before it's too late and Mr. DeMarco doesn't make them any more.

    55555 by Akira K

  • Sam BAnything. Amazing. Go see the great man himself make perfect pizza. Then eat perfect pizza. Day done.

    55555 by Sam B

  • FunesWhen people talk about NY pizza, this is what talk about. Expensive but worth every penny, you can take your own wine.

    55555 by Funes

  • Elvin M.Life-long New Yorker so I've had pizza pretty much everywhere. This is my favorite, hands down. Long wait on some days so don't come here for a slice! Get a whole (square) pie!

    55555 by Elvin M.

  • Kevin S.The man himself still painstakingly crafts every pie with love.

    55555 by Kevin S.

  • JessecaWhatever you do here, go for the Square and watch the cheese literally (and sensually) still bubbling at the surface. The wait may be long, for obvious reasons, but the long awaited bite is worth it!

    55555 by Jesseca

  • Anna D.This was bad... I wish it lived up to the hype. I'm actually shocked how bad this was. Too salty, ingredients are poor quality. It was maybe good long time ago

    22222 by Anna D.

  • Aaron BellAs silly as it sounds, by a square slice or three to share while you wait for your pizza. It will prime your appetite for a spectacular pie.

    55555 by Aaron Bell

  • Ondrej NI stopped by on Sat around 7pm and got my square slice right away. I admire the man how he make them, but it definitely was not the best pizza I had. It was thin and crunchy but the rest was mediocre.

    33333 by Ondrej N

  • Fodor's Travel EThe "classic" is topped with sausage, peppers, mushrooms, and onions ($33), but the "regular" ($29) lets you appreciate the pure goodness.

    55555 by Fodor's Travel E

  • Dee PhunkIf you made the trek out here, congrats. You're at one of the top five places to get pizza in New York City. Now just be very patient. It'll be worth the wait.

    55555 by Dee Phunk

  • Vaughn A.Get one round, one square, and take leftovers home

    33333 by Vaughn A.

  • Carmen N.This is the perfect pizza right here.

    55555 by Carmen N.

  • bill s.Overrated, overpriced and not worth the trip to Midwood.

    22222 by bill s.

  • Alyssa FootePizza is good, but not worth the 40 minute train ride + 2 hour wait! Bring a lawn chair to chill on the street because it's definitely an all day event.

    55555 by Alyssa Foote

  • Joan Parkthe di fara classic was olive oil drenched cheesy goodness but the square pizza's crunchy crust blew us away. worth the 1.5 hr wait and $33+ per pizza pie.

    33333 by Joan Park

  • John CoatesTake your time. Your pizza maker is no rush.

    33333 by John Coates

  • Sam SelfridgePizza takes a while but is worth it. Advise you go grab some beers and bring em back to drink while waiting/eating

    55555 by Sam Selfridge

  • Lori L.You'll have to wait in line for a slice of this legendary pizza. Go for the Square Pie, which has just the right amount of chew and is topped off with fresh basil.

    55555 by Lori L.

  • Omari GBEST OF THE BEST

    55555 by Omari G

  • Anthony M.No words. Pure joy.

    55555 by Anthony M.

  • rich m.Quaint. cute seeing the old man work solo. Painstakingly slow. His son helps by cutting the basil. Otherwise there's no one else working meaning 1-2 hour wait for a pie, which can be soggy or burnt

    33333 by rich m.

  • Eli HThe pizza, duh!

    33333 by Eli H

  • Sean NickleySublime. Theatric. Almost medieval in the level of artisanship. But you'll wait(and pay) for it.

    55555 by Sean Nickley

  • Selim VarolSpread Love its the Brooklyn Way! The "Don" Dom Demarco is handling the Pizza with his bare amazing hands for over 50 Years now! Much respect & ❤️ to the Di Fara Family!

  • Jessica MemoliBest pizza in the city - believe the hype. That's all there is to it.

    55555 by Jessica Memoli

  • First We FeastMaking the pilgrimage to Midwood for a pie at Di Fara is like visiting a living museum, where the masterpiece on display is septuagenarian pizzaiolo Dom DeMarco.

    55555 by First We Feast

  • First We FeastDom DeMarco may be getting old, but if he weren't so humble, he might invoke Jay Z and let everyone know the truth: "Your best shit ain't better than my worst shit." Go pay homage while you still can.

    33333 by Katherine M.
