  • annamoore reviewIt is tempting to cite the Helmand's value as it's principal asset, but the truth is that the food is the star. It is consistently great. I don't really like rice much, but I always eat the Helmand's rice as soon as the plate is put in front of me. The rest of the menu sends a lamb and eggplant kinda guy like me into a Mediterranean food-lover's coma. As if the great food, wonderful warm decor, and energy level weren't enough...the wine list is very reasonable.

  • sallysports reviewI am grateful that I did not read gbarberis review of Helmand's as I would have denied myself a gastronomical delight! The menu is ambrosia to the taste buds with each appetizer and entree a delectable wonder to experience. I highly recommend any of the lamb dishes as my dinner companions were equally enchanted with their choices. Having just returned from Paris, I was not expecting to enjoy any meal until my memories had faded so I am deeply grateful that Helmund exists and I can recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

  • sallysports reviewThe decor was lovely. The food was good, but not exceptional. The table next to us was given an incorrect bill, as I was. When I called this to the young lady's attention, she became rude and couldn't understand since the bill was only $6.00 over! The bread basket was removed with one slice of delicious bread left. We were sitting next to the bread oven and had a very clear view. The baker removed the unused piece of bread, cut off the edges, and then placed it back in the oven to be used in the next bread basket! Very bad experience.
