• I DO NOT RECCOMMEND WAGNER'S RIBS FOR ANY MEAL. ALTHOUGH THEIR RIBS ARE THE BEST IN THE AREA, IN MY OPINION, YOU HAVE TO WATCH EVERYTHING ELSE. I VISITED WAGNERS RIBS TODAY 10/07/06 WITH MY FAMILY, AND DISCOVERED A USED BAND-AID IN MY SALAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS DEPLORABLY DISGUSTING. I WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER RETURN.

• I'm not a world-class rib fancier, but my experience with their ribs has been nothing short of satisfaction. Both take-out and dining in. Don't be fooled when you drop in for dinner, because the location and structure are like most solid food eateries in northwest Indiana. It's well worth a shot if you like dining out based on food and don't require a `sophicated` atmosphere. Personally I like the people, layout and food.

• My wife and my family recently dined at wagners ribs and the horrible happened to us! My wife ordered a salad and just when she was about done she spit up a used soiled bandaid from her salad! They have poor lighting in the place so my wife didn't see it before putting it in her mouth!

• I grew up eating wagners ribs as a child, my grandmother used to take me to the resturaunt in Laporte. Now years later i travel to the only remaining wagners joint in porter only to be turned away for having a minor in our party (my 2 year old daughter). I have always loved the ribs and the sauce, but Wagners is no longer a family resturaunt.

• These are the best ribs I have ever had. I have brought out of town friends and family to Wagner's. None of them like ribs, but they have all driven out of the way from Indianapolis and South Bend just to pick up ribs from Wagner's. My mom likes to pick up the ribs on the way home to Indianapolis. The restaraunt is a bar, so it unfortunately is not kid friendly, but carry out works.

• Since Wagner's is one of the few steak, ribs and drinking places in the Porter area where locals can gather and everyone knows your name, it has a reputation and its barbecue sauce is hyped throughout Porter and Chesterton. That being said, it is overpriced and offers only average service. The dining area is one of comfort, but nothing to talk about at parties or family gatherings. Up the road a piece is a another place that offers a better bargain for ribs and bbq that meets the same standards.
