The veal marsala was wonderful, and oh my lord, the tiramisu dessert was heavenly!
by twinzinc
Our party of 10, celebrating a special occasion, had a disappointing experience at Sorriso recently. Our reservation, confirmed a week in advance (and held with a credit card), was not in the restaurant's system. Rather than an apology we were instead confronted with repeated questions of `Are you sure you made the reservation here? For tonight?`, etc. We waited for the staff to prepare a table outside so we could enjoy the wonderful views and pleasant weather. We were seated without menus and eventually had to grab one of the busboys to locate our server so we could decide on our meals. Throughout the course of the evening she was extremely hard to find, making only a few trips to our table. It took twenty minutes after we finished our meal to find our server to get the check. The service was among the worst I have ever been subjected to, yet an 18% gratuity was expected/included. I really cannot say enough about how disappointing the service was.The quality of the food was reasonable but inconsistent. The sea bass was received well, as was the bruschetta and calamari. The pasta dishes were generous and tasty, but the steaks lacked flavor. As far as the environment, the view from the outdoor terrace was very nice. In spite of this, given the service we received and the many issues we faced, it would be very hard to justify a return visit or recommend this restaurant to others.

Awesome river front seating, great brunch and brunch cocktails. I'd avoid the green goddess salad. It was meh.

Great waterside location. Limited menu, good service and average food!

Chicken avocado rolls are good. River views and outdoor dining is wonderful in good weather.
by Kirstjen L.
Reliably good brunch dishes and inexpensive cocktails, with a modern twist and a warm sense of humor.

With views overlooking the Chicago river, Bridge House Tavern is everything we want in a brunch spot—affordable, beautiful, and has an outstanding patio!

Uninspired beer selection with typical pretentious gastro pub fare. Nice outdoor patio on the river.

Great food, great service, great drinks, and great music playing on the stereo! Was the perfect spot for a late lunch after exploring Chicago.

During summer time, try to grab a seat outside because it has fantastic views of the City. Tavern tots are a must.

I love the shrimp and grits! They are delicious!
by Tonya M.
The bacon pancake is incredible, humongous, and delicious! Who know they made pans & plates that large? Bonus: a terrific view on the water.
by Jessica T.
If you are inclined, go for the 10 oz double patty cheeseburger with organic beef. Big, tasty, and char-broiled. So big you may want to skip the appetizers and order a side salad.
by Derek J.
Wonderful location on the river. Try the soft pretzel, excellent
by Melody M.

Food was very good and service was excellent. Will go again

If you're thinking about getting the free desert, don't stop by the old bait and switch here the manager made us so uncomfortable by telling us that we needed to buy something. Put it in special then!
by Ryan C.
Food was not good. Neither was the service. Unimpressed to say the least.
by Lauren K
I wouldn't come back here for the sole reason they let the guys go on there boat, expected me to move, and didn't so much as say sorry.
by Mike S.
Amazing service!! I would highly suggest this venue for any event you're looking to host. Give Kristen a call :)
by Madison W.
Perfect Saturday brunch! The location, food, and cocktails were amazing. The hostess was a bit snooty, but the servers were great. Definitely recommend for a weekend brunch!

They don't seat incomplete parties on the patio. Are we in New York or what? Be considerate, this is Chicago!

Skip the cocktails and choose from the great whiskey list.

Great food, great atmosphere, service was ok. Waiter was very friendly but host and hostess seemed aloof. Free dessert (cheesecake) for checking in was delicious!
by Amy M.
Hands down one of the best patios in Chicago. No staff compares to everyone here!
by Jackie H.
The grilled cheese is amazeballs.
by Kat H.
Get cauliflower. Amazing. And I don't like vegatables.
by Gregg L.
Try the Bridge House Burger from our 100 Best list: This burger is rebellious in its restraint, classic in its conception and on-point in its execution. None of that keeps it from being enormous.
by Time Out Chicago
Try the Caesar salad- white anchovies, red onion, roasted tomatoes, brioche w/ homemade dressing. Divine.
by beanorita
Double Cut Pork chop was ridiculously good!
by Scott H.
The most knowing diners here go light on appetizers and save room for the massive double-cut pork chop ($29), a flavor-packed (plenty of fat around the edges), buttery-soft piece of pig.
by Crain's Chicago Business
Great view at river level...
by Okimak
Wow! Super slow service. Won't be back
by Ann-Marie Y.
The Pork chop is huge and very well cooked! You have to see it/try it to believe it.
by Jason B.
Must sit on the patio - excellent view to the east.
by Kristin S.
Honey, bacon and jalepeno popcorn...delicious!
by Mary H.
Name is somewhat deceptive as it's more of a riverfront restaurant. Burger is massive and tasty, fries are crisped to perfection, wedge salad is great. Sit on the water.
by minusmanhattan
Grab a glass of Santa Barbara Winery Chardonnay while on the patio!
by Charles B.
Not nearly as good as Flat Water Grill, poor menu limited options
by Jeannette P.
Try the bruschetta with white bean spread and goat cheese!
