  • lee1 reviewAvoid this place. The atmosphere was charming but food gave us terrible indegestion. They also tried to charge us $120 for a 50 dollar check. The whole thing was very ridiculous and then they lied about making a mistake. It was nearly impossible to get my money back and they mischarged both me and my friend. I'm wondering if they systematically mischarge people-they were extremely evasive about the whole problem and very uncooperative. I will never go back here.

  • vickiat311 reviewWow. What a disappointment. Food was cold, the service was horrible (server and bus staff) and the menu way overpriced. I thought this was a legitimate Chicago restaurant and I now realize it is only another in a pretentious list of tourist traps. If you are looking for a unique, tasty, and pleasing dining experience, bypass this joint!

  • tj reviewI have eaten at Bistro 110 numerous time. The ambience is that of a French bistro, somewhat noisy and busy -- but the food brings me back. The creme brulee is simply the best I have eaten anywhere ever, in fact I never order creme brulee anywhere else because `the Holy Grail` is here. The artichoke with brie appetizer is also spectacular. A don't miss experience if you are near Watertower Sq & `the Mile`.

  • ningchu reviewHad Bistro 110 for lunch and it was wonderful. It was like French countryside cuisine. For starters, the waiters would serve you roasted garlic and french bread; I still can't stop thinking how good that tasted!

  • pfpoaklawn reviewan excellent dining experience in a true (busy) bistro environment. Chef Dominique Toungne is wonderful and his classical training and love of his home shines through his menu selections. The recommended wine pairings are very helpful. The creme brulee is the best I've had (including in France).

  • lee1 reviewon our sole visit, we found a friendly reception somewhat overrated food, and attentive, but over familiar service. The waiter's and sommelier's enthusiasm seemed more appropiate to Chuck-e-cheese. The wine list was quite extensive and expensive, markup about four-fold. The profiterole dessert featured delicious ice cream inside what seemed like week old petit-choux. overall, a pleasant experience not worth repeating.

  • bwood8589 reviewI, and my family and friends, have had dinner at Bistro 110 more than twenty times over the last six or seven years. The food has always been extremely good (we have NEVER had a bad meal or experience) - but probably too plentiful to suit me. The service is always outstanding - they are really attentive to your needs - especially for the money (which I think is only mid-range for downtown Chicago). The atmosphere is generally boistrous, but warm and friendly. For my money - unless I am dining at an elite ($$$$$) restaurant - Bistro 110 is where I always go. I love the artichoke, salmon and the creme brulee. My first creme brulee was at a fancy restaurant in the Eiffel Tower. Of all the great restaurants in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and London that I have tried creme brulee - this is the only one that equals the one I had in Paris.

  • mlb1636 reviewI have lived in Chicago (Old Town) my entire life and this was my first, but not last, visit to the Bistro 110. Everything....from the valet to the waiter was wonderful. We had the best steaks and appetizers....they even gave us the recipes!!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to out of towners. Unlike other reviews, I do not believe anything was over rated or over priced.......thank you!!!!

  • shaw reviewhonestly...the best thing about this place is the wine. The deserts are okay, and the main dishes, are....well not at all what you think you are paying for. the wait staff is pleasent and will help you the best they can. go, but eat first!
