Good bar and good German food. This place is popular with the locals and ethnic Germans, and I can see why. Good daily specials, and good carte menu. Appetizers are many and varied. Food is traditional and tasty. Kiki, behind the bar is a hoot. Neighborhood has good delicatessens, bakeries and shops, too.

Great authentic German food w/ live polka & a stand by magician. If you order any of the schnitzels, ask for a side of gravy.Skip the fries and ask for German potatoes. The pretzel is huge & delicious

Very original place. Polka music, traditional dishes and lots of German beer. Order the rindsrouladen (beef roll with cabbage) and the liver dumpling.

Guy enjoyed the "big flavor" and tenderness of the sauerbraten and the rindsrouladen, a beef roll. Loyal customers enjoy the liver dumpling soup and listening to the live polka band.

This is not like the hoity-toity piss elegant little cafés that people line up for hours like the one across the street. If you want unpretentious more Bavarian than in Germany meal, this is it!

If you order the pretzel, use the butter provided to lightly flavor it before consumption. It adds a whole level of deliciousness.

Get the boot of beer and a pretzel to start. The schwein schnitzel is good. If the have the smoked pork and bacon sausage special, definitely go for it.

All I remember is an older rod stewart and trying to fly our paper airplanes in to our delicious hofbraus. So overall, great place.

I don't care much for the food, but I haven't sampled much of it so take that with a grain of salt. I come for the beer, the music, and the atmosphere.
