Excellent Philippine kitchen! Every dish I tried was delicious, I was in Filipino heaven!

Filipino cuisine is severely underrepresented in Chicago but Isla is a standout that makes up for it. Staples like lumpia, pancit and lechon are well-executed.

From the outside the place isn't much to look at, But once you get indoors, the cozy place has a young, fresh vibe with rock music, local art on the walls, and no problem drawing clientele.
