Cocktails, chocolate chip cookies

This place is truly a gem. Found it randomly while in this part of the town and wow, what a surprise. Strong, great cocktails, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. Will definitely come back!

Great gin cocktails. You will not go wrong.. my favorite two charlie's. Nice and cool atmosphere
by maite A
Hot buttered rum. Righteous.
by Luke Stein
A hipster vibe was given off by the bar. The space is lacking enough seating and tables for guests, but their unique cocktail menu helps while you wait at the bar. Real fire place adds value to venue.
by Kindall
The ultimate neighborhood bar resides in Logan Square. It's perfect for groups, and most everyone now knows about their unique cocktail offerings.
by Eater
Cute, vintage, Victorian, cozy atmosphere. Perfect date place
by Lisa M
The atmosphere is amazing and service is great. I tried three cocktails and all were incredibly taste. Free cookies at midnight!

Cozy, comfortable, great service. The Burrata was delicious!
by Lisa B.
This gin-focused cocktail bar is justly known for the quality of its mixed drinks. The front bar is always packed, while the back room offers a quiet respite full of plush chairs and couches.

Adorable atmosphere and creative cocktails.

Cookies at midnight are no joke.
by Michael S
The cocktails were delicious... plan to go with a little time, as you might take a while with each drink (if you have more than 1!)
by Cristian L.
Cozy atmosphere and great gin-based cocktails. Perfect place if you love Gin and want to chill.
by Erika M
Sure, the real draw is the cocktails, but don't sleep on the burger or the fried chicken sandwich.
by ben m.
We don’t want to ruin the surprise, but you definitely want to be here at midnight.
by Bon Appetit Magazine
Cookies at midnight!
by Christopher N.
Mixed Blessings is delicious. A very well balanced cocktail
by Grant B
If you have a favorite gin, they have it. Try Martin Miller's or Ransom Old Tom to start building your gin palette in style.
by James L.
Brrr, winter is finally here and with it our longing to snuggle by the fireplace. Don't have one at home? Scofflaw is a great bar for cozying up next to a fireplace and enjoying a tasty cocktail.
by Staff Picks
Great lounge for a casual evening with friends. I would also recommend it for dates!
by Zach S.
Solid brunch 11am-4pm Sat & Sun. A small variety of high quality rotating selections.
by Andy S.
Not bad. A lot of their cocktails are creations of other famous cocktail bars (I spotted a few from NYC!) I love how they change the menu but with they had more variety.
by Sharon T.
Great atmosphere and interesting choice of gin based cocktails. It's crowded and tables are on a first come basis so if you don't mind standing around and scouting tables all night, check this out.
by Kara H
Indeed a one of a kind pub/ restaurant!
by Patrick Jay B
Great place to come for a drink, chill, and catch up!
by Kelly Wong
If you happen to remember an off-menu drink from the past, ask and they may happen to have the ingredients to make it again. Got the "Falcon Cap" that was on the menu two years ago.
by John K
This modern Victorian parlor has an impressive stash of gins from around the world. One-part hip living room, one-part casual saloon, the cocktails run the gamut from fresh and fruity to big and boozy

Awesome place for food and a cocktail. Keep an extra eye on your kids with SurePoint.

Great gin-centric cocktails, reasonable prices compared to similar mixology-focused bars. Gets crowded late.
by David H.
Sit by the fire on a cold night.
by Zach F.
Gin is the way to go here, if you don't like gin, this is the place to go for a retry
by AJ W.
I like this place because of the layout and feel. On top of that, hey distill their own gin and it tastes really good.

Check out Scofflaw as it was featured on Man Finds Food for Gin-infused cocktails, a secret sandwich and a fresh approach to modern bar fare, Scofflaw rises above the typical tavern.
by TV Food Maps
These people have no concept of acoustic design. Even the best table/bar stool at this place is very close to others. This is a hot/popular spot. Forget about it
by Hillman Philistia
Gimlet, all the way, with a side of sweet potato tots. Yum!
by Taylor K.
Some of the best cocktails in the city... and potent! Preempt those hangover blues with their incredible food including the ultra-crispy fries with pimentón aioli and free cookies at midnight.
by Amy G.
Good cocktails, but they're quite small for the price. Nice atmosphere.
by Matt Latourelle
Goddamnit if this isn't one of the best bars in America. Tight operation, perfect cocktails and food; two fireplaces, outdoor space. Perfect in all weather. They just nail every aspect.
by Colin Young
$8 great cocktails. Food was good. 60/70s oldies on radio is my jam
by Alex Tomasik

by Amy L.
Ask for a Death's Door old fashioned.
by T Callahan
One of the best bars I've been to. One side has a cozy living room feel where you can TALK to people. Great house made cocktails and my boyfriend like their old fashioned. Free cookies at 12!
by Caitlin W.
Loud music, can't have a conversation. Seats are too close to each other. Explains the loud music.
by Hillman Philistia
A real gin joint. Midnight free chocolate chip cookies hot out of the oven.
by s p.
The food is mediocre and the line to get in is usually long, but once you're in, you're all set for good service and quality drinks.
by Joseph Blewitt
Good local bar

Cauliflower steak was good, too loud, seating is too close, lock your car or take a cab
by Hillman Philistia
The presentation is elegant but simple. Many spirits are locally made and the interior is furnished with carefully picked salvage pieces.
by CNN
Trust the bartender, and try the veggie po boy...with a side of fries.
by Lala L.
The crazy Baroque/Victorian/goth/whatever decor always suffices to keep a conversation going; the fact that it's a little bit off the beaten path lets you weed out those who never leave River North.
by Chicagoist
During the hot, blazing days of summer, personal cocktail choices tend to skew more towards the bright and refreshing than brown and moody. There was none more refreshing this year than "The Sleeper".
by Chicagoist
I recommend the Sly Devil, with Scofflaw Old Tom Gin, Maurin Quina, chai syrup and lime.
by Chicagoist
KICK ASS BAR. Candlelight makes for a very sexy atmosphere. Excellent, elevated food to match craft cocktails makes for a killer combination.

Gin is the spirit of choice at this new Logan Square bar: Try it in a classic cocktail like a martini, served in an antique coupe, or in one of head barkeep Danny Shapiro’s new creations.
by Time Out Chicago
Veterans of the Whistler, Boiler Room and Bonny's joined together to open this gin bar. The other room is less loungey and truer to what Scofflaw is, which is a simple, friendly neighborhood joint.-JK
by Time Out Chicago
Sip a Scofflaw Swizzle #1, bright with rum, pineapple, orgeat and lime, with a mizuna salad. Don’t forget about midnight cookie service:
