With Greektown so close to my apartment, it is difficult not to always consider eating here at any time during the day...

We visited this place while on vacation in Chicago. It was awful. The atmosphere was noisy and chaotic, the service was frantic, and they were out of everything we tried to order. What we did end up with was generally poorly prepared and, other than the stuffed tomato, flavorless. And no selection of Greek beers.

This is a real greek place, not a trendy tourist trap. Know your food and speak greek if you can, otherwise expect a fly in your soup!! Great food and plenty of it! Also do NOT say opa.
by specker
Authentic food in classic Greek setting. I've been eating here for over 25 years. Its one of the first places I visit when I return to Chicago. Great lamb and sides, country Greek salad, and bread. So many greeat dishes to choose from. Our daughter make this her favorite Chicago restraunt, too!
by bigtbq
There are few places that can match the overall dining experience offered by the chefs and waiters of Greek Islands. The food, service, and ambiance are extraordinary! This is a perfect place to celebrate a special event or to simply enjoy a fabulous meal.
Everything

Disappointed! The "special men" I was presented had just two of seven plates available. I went there about 8:30 pm so it wasn't like they were closing. Not recommended! 👎
by William Q.
Paros island and Antiparos great islands very close from each other you can say the food is the same not matters which restaurant you go try the eggplant grill in Aliki in Paros
by Patricia R
Always great (and fast!) service and delicious, authentic Greek food! Highly recommend.
by Lindsay R.
Excellent chicken riganati and gyros! The saganaki and Greek salad are a must.
by Heather S.
Family friendly spot. Tons of options. Decent prices. Not a go to for dates because there will be kids yelling.
by Marco A
Delicious food, good service. Try the traditional gyro. Is delicious.
by Sergio Morilo R.
Flaming cheese came out literally on fire. We also ordered the grilled fish and lamb. Pretty authentic according to a native friend.
by Chenjing A
Tourists and locals alike pack the house every night to try everything from fried zucchini with skordalia (garlic-potato dip) and dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) to roast lamb and fresh red snapper.
by Eater
Authentic food in the hart of Greek Town. Try the seafood souvlaki or the sea bass.

Get the family style. Definitely plenty of food. Adolfo took excellent care of my family and they accommodated my 94-year old grandfather very well. We all had a wonderful experience!!!

by Danial Shams
Don't just order one dessert, order a bunch of them!

My favorite restaurant in the world. Everything I've tried has been fantastic. I love the chicken raganaki. Try the family style option, you'll get to taste a variety and have plenty to eat!
by Jen
You must try the Kolokithakia, it's incredible!

Flaming cheese for both entertaining and appetizing!
by Daawnii
Rather ho-hum greek fare. Flaming saganaki is always great, and the lamb was cooked perfectly. Just nothing spectacular. At least it's quite large and can accommodate many, our wait wasn't too bad.

The whole staff is great. Tons of great options. Some favorites: saganaki, Athenian salad, broiled salmon, Lake Superior white fish tail, gyros (extra tzatziki). Hot Lima beans may be the star.

a-maz-ing! Vegetarian moussaka.
by Rachel S.
It's almost like if you were in Greece. Try to taste everything you can. Authentic.
by Van P
One of the best for fresh, healthy, and simply prepared seafood. Whole grilled fish is the way to go, as is the octopus. Don't overlook their veggies: try the horta (braised greens), okra, and beets.
by Fernando Covas
Can't go wrong with this place. Lamb ribs are among the honorable mentions
by Brittany Nicole
Greek food is actually turkish but they're ok. Deserts can be better. Try hard for turkish deserts guys :))

Greek Island is the staple of Greek Town, importing wines, olives oil, oregano, honey and olives straight from Greece. Try their distinctive lima beans and Colorado lamb.
