Eating For Sanity on Dec 03, 2013
After seeing this chocolate tart and finding out it was basically a Snicker bar, I had to order one. It was a chocolate tart filled with peanuts and caramel. This tasted exactly like a Snicker, just looked much more presentable. The caramel was still in that gooey phase despite being in the fridge for a few hours. Definitely worth trying!

DNAinfo.com (DNAinfo Chicago) reports that this location closing Dec 31, 2013. The ridiculous non-compete clause with New Wave Coffee allowed location to only sell 8 croissants at a time (was 12).

Best creeps ever! Gotta try the Caramel Macaroons.

Came here for brunch and the service was horrific. Cashier accidentally gave our food to the wrong people and didn't even apologize for the wait. Hiring disaffected hipsters as employees = fail.
by Anna D.
Because of New Wave Coffee's tyranny, they can't serve coffee or individual baked goods. I have, however, received free croissants on two occasions, when buying (or attempting to buy) other things.

Super disappointed in the service tonight. The girl working there did not even acknowledge me as I waited to order for 10 minutes. Finally I left with NOTHING!!! Taking my money elsewhere.

The crognet: a Boston cream cronut with vanilla cream custard filling and chocolate ganache icing that’s distinctively moist and chewy. Other flavors include chocolate, raspberry, and maple bacon.
by Katie Z.
The macarons are bright and very smooth, but the shells don't pack much of a crunch. Pistacchio is pleasantly nutty and delicate, best nibbled with an espresso.

Rude service and you have to buy at least 8 pastries. Non merci!

Bacon baguette is delicious!

Their chocolate croissants are to die for.

No coffee but gorgeous madeleines, paris-brest, macarons, and croissants.

It’s only the passion of a Frenchman that could yield this quality of baguette, along with croissants so flaky that you’ll buy them the only way he can sell them: without an accompanying cappuccino.

Favorite deserts and crepes.

I've been wanting to try this place 4ever. Went in for a choc. Croissant & they only had almond & raisin. Went for almond & I must say, it was pretty amazing. Expensive though "/ womp womp.

Their macarons, entremet, and sweet crepes are amazing!

Great French bread. Would've gotten more but the woman behind the counter (see Jordan W's photo) was extremely rude.

Avoid the woman behind the counter who is too preoccupied with her novel to give decent customer service. Treat customers like you want to be treated.

Get here early for your pick of croissants. You can only buy them by the dozen but they're worth it.

Best French Bread in Chicago. Made fresh every two hours. Brunette $3.50 - and worth every penny for an exquisitely perfect hard xrust
by Bruce B.
A bakery with its own take on traditional 19th century French baking. Keep an eye out for the opening & drop in for freshly-baked croissants, country-style loaves, frosty Black Dog Gelato.
