Abe's Bar-B-Q Reviews
Visisted Clarksdale to do a short term Mission Discovery trip with the youth group from my church and found Abe's at the crossroads. DO NOT miss this joint. It's behind Delta Doughnuts. Went back 2 days in a row with the whole gang. Pork sandwiches were the best. Thanks Abe for the treat.
I grew up in Clarksdale and have since moved to Memphis, TN where the BBQ is famous. The Big Abe is by far still the best BBQ sandwich around. Lots of pork, slaw and great sauce.
I grew up in Tallahatchie County just south of Clarksdale. While I haven't lived there in about 35 years each time I do get to visit home the first place I head is to Abe's!
Head south of Memphis on Highway 61 and you’ll find the Big Abe, a double-decker sandwich topped with slaw and drenched in a peppery sauce you’ll want to drink by the bottle.
The tamales covered with chili were great!

Not great for vegetarians (big surprise). But the staff is nice and they do their best.

Actually, Abe's IS open on Sunday. Great BBQ, and they have tamales and stuffed grape leaves, too.

Classic BBQ at the crossroads. Founded in 1924 and still going. A must stop in the delta.
