  • casdksn reviewOne of the best in Dallas and has been around for over a decade. Quality at a moderate price is why I go often. Fantastic veal chop and excellent wines at a reasonble price. No where else in the city can you get fantastic food at a fraction of the big superstar big shot restaurants in Dallas. Adelmo's will be around for a very long time!

  • ridgell reviewWe experienced Aldemo's for the first time last week end and were thrilled to find it...the food was exceptional, the service was efficient and courteous (and the restaurant was full), and the atmosphere wass reminiscent of a small town in northern Italy...we'll be back again and again. Oh, and the prices are especially reasonable.

  • phonerx reviewFirst time at Adelmo's. I cannot see where it gets it's rep for great service. The staff was generally indifferent at best and service was nothing to recommend. Glasses went unfilled for long periods of time during a period where there were very few patrons on the floor (1st floor at 6:30p)The menu must change regularly as almost none of the items mentioned in other reviews appeared on 1/3/05, leading to a severe disappointment on my part. The only item that even hinted at any sort of outside-of-Italy-Mediterranean influence was an appetizer served on couscous. Other menu reviews indicated game animals were a part of the vaunted menu, but none appeared this time.Dinner started with bread and a dish of marinated vegetables (green beans, carrots, a jalapeno, zuchinni). The veggies were nicely flavored and still crisp. The fresh mozzarella with tomato appetizer was excellent. The balsamic vinegar sauce that came with it was densely flavorful without overpowering the other ingredients.Entrees were the Chicken Scallopini and the Roast Duck with Strawberry Brandy Sauce. Both came with steamed veggies (standard fare: broccoli, green beans, zuch, etc..) and roasted potatos. The chicken was cooked in a nice wine sauce that complimented the meat very well. The chicken was not dry. The duck stole the show as the skin was crispy but not overdone, while the strawberry brany sauce was a perfect compliment; not too sweet, not too much brandy. We didn't have time to sample the dessert menu. A plate of 4 butter cookies was offered along with the bill. The cookies were obviously the canned variety avilable everywhere.Total bill for a couple: $63

  • ridgell reviewWe made Reservations for 4 people upstairs in front of the window. We arrived 15 minutes before our Reservations time and were immediately hustled to a table downstairs. We asked politely about our request for reservation upstairs by the window in which you would have thought we had just hit the guy but he took upstairs and set us a the nearest table to the stairs. Food was okay. The service was horrible plus along with the waiters attitude made it that much worst. When we got ready to leave I lean over to let the owner know our experience & he simply SHOUTED at me “THAT IF I DID NOT LIKE IT DON’T COME BACK!”So guess what we want be back. I guess the regulars at this place like eating at a place where the owner could care less if he has your business or not.

  • ChefMozAdelmo is the most wonderful host, very charming, kind and attentive.I have gone to the restaurant many times and have had the most pleasant experience each time; Adelmo and his staff are very professional, and the food is EXCELLENT. Atmosphere very romantic; I took my now-husband there for his birthday, and we couldn't have had a more enjoyable time.
