  • phonerx reviewWhen I lived in Dallas in the early 90's, enjoyed the pizza there. A little trivia - You know Joseph Campisi was the first one to visit Jack Ruby in jail right after he shot Oswald? Of course you did....

  • liste reviewWent there for dinner before prom this past Saturday, for the first time ever. Waiter was horrible, pretty much threw our silverwear at us, but he might have had a grudge against us or something. Salad was okay, a bit too peppery @ times. Toasted ravioli was delicious, I totally didn't want to share! Got the combo plate - the lasagna and ravioli were amazing, the meatball was better than most, but I could barely eat the spaghetti (and there was tons of it)I was so stuffed. The atmosphere of the place was chaotic, but still cozy. The candles just added to everything.

  • ggranello reviewThe service is exteremley poor. Very rude, innatentive servers. They don't care whether you come back or not. Pizza is good.

  • ggranello reviewI have been a beena good customer of Campisi's for about 3 years now, and over the past few months I have been extremely dissapointed with their service. Probably the last 3 times I have dined there, their service has been unacceptable. Especially the service that I recieved on Mother's Day. Our waiter was rude ,slow, and inattentive. He even lied to us and told us they were out of crackers, as we were leaving we spotted several baskets. I was completely hummiliated since I was treated my mother-in-law to dinner for Mother's Day, and had bragged on the restaurant so much. I don't plan to return.

  • lisa_bennallack reviewBest Pizza in USA. I've tried many and nothing comes close to the quality. Try the Crab Claws and Joe's Toast.....mmmmmm

  • ggranello reviewThis is a Dallas landmark - everyone knows the place. But the food is bad and the service is indifferent. They are coasting on reputation - steer clear.

  • phonerx reviewIt has been there forever. never a bad meal or a take out dissapointment. They just don't miss, of course they have had decades to practice. Always crowded, always fun.

  • phonerx reviewCrowded, noisy, very informal and fun. I do not recommend the combo dinner, but do recommend the pizza and the Calamari & artichoke appetisers.

  • casdksn reviewHi! I just wanted to rate Campisi's Egyptian(not Egyptian cusine but named for the Egyptian lounge in `46)Italian as GREAT!!!It has 50's ambiance, a mob history as well as countless celebs who have eaten at this `big D` landmark. Hey even the cast of the `Soprano's` ate here and signed a group pic that is on the wall with a the Dallas history. The Campisi family still owns it and the food is great and authentic Italian-American fare. I'd still come even if it was mediocre. The history the place captures. While sitting in the 50's New York setting you expect the cast of the `good fellas`. I LOVE this place and urge one to go and experience a rare and vanishing thing: Mom and Pop food at it's best.-Jon Timothy Dorsett,Clarksville,TX

  • liste reviewto all of you gripers.I don't know about now, but back in the fiftie, sixties and seventies Campisi's was according to Houton restaurateur Tony Vallone `the best restautant in Texas`.When Sam and Joe were alive Campisi's was the place to go .If the line was long, it usually was, the regulars went in the back door. AND if you were even more special you got some pig's feet cooked in the sugo. The memories are more than fond. vinny the g now of new mexico
