  • boilermaker reviewI've visited several Italian restaurants in the DFW area in the past year that I've lived here, and Alfonso's is by far the best. The artichoke heart appetizers melt in your mouth, crispy calimari, and pizza to die for! Too bad I live in Arlington (or maybe it's a good thing).

  • ridgell reviewI've been eating at Alphonso's since it was located in Casa Linda. I love the food and the new location has a great clean feel to it. There is something for everyone on the menu. The pizza is wonderful.

  • phonerx reviewUntil I experienced the 'Special' at Alfonso, I had no cravings for Italian food. Now, I must have Alfonso's at least once a week. The rolls are unbelievable and all of the dishes are mouth-watering. Casual atmosphere, awesome food. Give it a try and you will be back, I guarantee it.

  • ChefMozMy wife and I found this place by "accident." We are so happy to have found it. Servcice is always good and it makes us feel "at home" every time. The food is consistently very good. The price is ok. The baked lasagna is superb! It is our eighth visit and it will be many more coming for us. You might get a kick out of the Dino (Martin) and Franky (Sinatra) music. They have many pictures of old Italy to boot! Try it!

  • ChefMozFOOD: It's sometimes dangerous to order anything other than baked pasta at a neighborhood restaurant. If you give in to those fears here, you will be missing the reason why there is a line out the door on many evenings. Lines tend to start a little later around 7PM.DISHES: The homemade FRESH GARLIC rolls will be enough to keep you returning to this place forever. Truly addicting. Another Dallas "institution's" soggy garlic "bread" should make that place on Mockingbird ashamed of themselves.AMBIANCE: A cute neighborhood restaurant with ambience on the same level, if not a touch more romantic, than any Le Madeleine.SERVICE: Always attentive even at peak times. And if it takes awhile, who cares with those addictive garlic rolls.WARNING--> Beware of the ONE weakness. I have had non-baked entrees (veal etc) served at lukewarm temperatures. For this there is no excuse. Send it back if this happens.OVERALL: If I want Italian food, this is where I will always go! No exceptions. Excellent value for the money!!BAR: YesOTHER: The TV/radio? in the bar area which is open and in the same room as the restaurant needs to go!

  • ObserverStreetThe shiny black-and-white checkerboard floor, fresh flowers on the tables and color photos of Italian street scenes set the mood for a cozy, enjoyable dining experience.

  • Lily O.Horrible service...horrible waitress we had that night. Mediocre food!

  • Eric M.I have a sneaking suspicion that their rolls, though tasty, are just Pillsbury French bread with garlic salt added.
