• My girlfriend (Annie), who lives in Dearborn, invited me to accompany her for lunch over to the Bangkok96 Restaurant...She's eaten here ever since they opened their doors back in '96. Even though it was an hour's drive from Toledo, I'm thrilled that I went. I'm normally a 'meat and potatoes' man but recently my lady friend convinced me to start eating high-quality, healthier food. Genevieve (the owner & founder) started us off with some wonderful hot, green tea, a cup of their famous Hot and Sour soup, followed by a 'killer' medley of appetizers...Wow! Next, our main entree arrived. I ordered the PAD TARRAY...Annie ordered the PAD PAK...Both dishes were BEYOND fabulous! To top things off, we feasted on some coconut ice cream for desert...the best I've ever had! You can be sure, I'll be making the Toledo to Dearborn drive on a regular basis! In closing, all I can say is, "Don't walk but RUN to the Bangkok96...You'll be glad you did!"

• The food's awesome!Ii like extra spicy (thanks to my Indian background)- they make me sweat.I have a rating system, a scale of 1-5 (5=best). Every one of the chicken dishes are 4.5'never tried pork, don't do beef, but I am sure they are equally good.I especially love the soup and those crackers..The serving size is more than enough. I usually get a box to take home leftovers.

• Since my wife is deathly allergic to peanuts, my only opportunity to go out for Thai is at lunch. It just so happens that I'm fortunate enough to be working within a few miles of Bangkok 96, which is a destination of choice for my co-workers and myself.The food is simply outstanding, from the simplest soup through the delightful and delicious curries, up to the pla jien (shredded pork, shrimp, mushroom, green onions and ginger served on top of fried fish). Being a bit of a curry junkie, Bangkok 96 satisifes my cravings quite nicely.If you get to B96 (as we call it) any time after about 11:15am, expect to wait a long time for a seat. The small dining area fills quickly.

• Had lunch here for the first time in over a year. Used to love their fried rice, but yesterday’s FR1 medium tasted like plain rice w/ soy sauce and a little hot pepper. Not the quality I remember.
