The only bad thing is that its so good you have to wait in line on weekends. Go on a weekday if you can. They have the best stuffed french toast!
A truly wonder-full epicurian experience awaits you at Toast. The food is consistently excellent, the coffee muy macho. The waitresses are jumpin'. It's a busy place, so should you not receive a smile every time don't get'cher shorts in a bunch. The food is slammin' and they're jammin'!Do yer'self and friends a favor - get'cher Toast buttered soon.
It breaks my heart to read these other reviews because I've had nothing but great experiences with this restaurant. I'd say I've been about 10 times or so, the food is always amazing, and the service is always friendly and more than competent. I would highly recommend Toast to anyone considering the experience.
I've visited WAB many times in the last 5 years. I've usually enjoyed the beer and food, and the service was always good. However, a couple weeks ago I visited with my family for the first time in many months. We walked in downstairs where we were told they were closing up (it was only about 8:15 pm). We walked upstairs and tried to find a table. While there were a number of tables available throughout the upstairs, it appeared that the entire upstairs is now smoking only. Not one WAB waiter or waitress even acknowledged us. The bartender was busy talking with his only bar customer and the only waitress I could see was busy eating herself. After walking around for 5 minutes, I decided to take my family to Como's up the street. There we had a delicious pizza and a pitcher of an Oregon-based Hefeweizen by Widmer Brothers. Yum.I've noticed a real decline in WAB's quality of brews in recent years and prefer several others, including Stoney Creek, Royal Oak Brewery, Dragonmeade Brewery and Copper Canyon.I do not intend to visit WAB ever again! By the way, when we walked by WAB later that evening, the downstairs was still open and serving. Maybe they just don't want families there?
The beer is always yummy (except for the vanilla porter - too sweet for my tastebuds) and the food is fresh and tasty. Go on a Monday and get half off anything on the menu!
