  • ChefMozHooray! We just moved to the area from NYC, so not to be snobby, but our food standards were pretty high and we hadn't found anything in the area that we would want to go back to. I won't say this is exactly like dining in New York, but it was definitely very good. The atmosphere is fun and kitschy and the service was great. I had a delicious salmon (with fried leeks on top) and couscous for $13. I was quite pleased. Soup and salad were good too. This may be our new regular place.

  • ChefMozBeing a native Flemingtonian I am greeted well upon arrival via bicycle. I feel welcome in this very charming atmosphere until you talk to the "regulars" who try to convince you they are in some kind of cult and outsiders are not welcome. I doubt the ownership thinks the same and as a result the dining experience is excellent. Just watch out for those self proclaimed "regulars".

  • ChefMozDifferent... yes, You gotta love the collection of S and P shakers. Ambiance... extraordinary. Food, can't go wrong with their menu. You have to have their Big Fat Muffins or any home baked morning bun. If you're there for their Sunday breakfast feast, get anything Mexican. Their homefries have something secret in them to make them the best I've had. If you go on a Sunday, then go early because besides being a Sunday seasonal thing (Sept - April) they're open for 3 hours (9 - 12 noon). The service is young in experience and a little raw, but they'll overcome that quickly. Overal rating... 5 out of 5.Just great!

  • ChefMoz The restaurant has moved up the street next to the post office. Beautiful restaurant, same old crew and great food.

  • ChefMozThe Shaker Cafe is a new breed of restaurant. Extreme dining you might say. Keep your hands and feet away from the owner's mouth and everything should be fine. Try the specials, have a salad, how about some Mexican? You simply can't go wrong. Can't decide what you want to eat? Let them decide for you. Not kid friendly. Kids are always falling off the chairs. The Shaker insists on well-behaved children. Friday nights are raucous, just like the tavern scene in "Oliver Twist." However, no loitering.
