Cafe Martorano Reviews

  • I have been eating her for 3 years and I have never had anything but a perfect experience. The food, the atmosphere, and the beats how can you beat that. This is the only place where you will never care how much the bill is, why because it's worth it.

  • I had the opportunity to dine at Cafe Martorano on Saturday, March 24, 2007. Thinking that the restaurant would be extremely crowded, we decided to arrive early at 6:00pm. We were seated right away and then proceeded to get "hustled" the entire one hour and 15 minutes we were there. The waiter and busboy lurked over the table filling our water and wine glasses every time we took a sip. Some may argue that this is service, when in reality they want to sell you another bottle of overpriced water or wine. You better eat quickly because their sole objective is to turn that table so more unsuspecting tourists can dine on $38.00 pasta dishes.Don't get me wrong- the atmosphere is unique. The food is good. However the predatory tactics of the waitstaff overwhelm what should be a positive dining experience.

  • I happen to live in Fort Lauderdale and have taken many out-of-town business associates to the "Cafe". I have not had one of my guests say anything but "this might be the best restaurant I have ever experienced."The food is outrageous, the wait staff is great and the ambience, well, if you are looking for a quiet night out, go elsewhere. This place rocks. The last time I took guests there, we sat at a table next to Danny Devito and Rhea Pearlman. The place is also frequented by Dan Marino, Shaq, Fat Joe, Every "mob" actor known to mankind, famous songwriters to name a few ( believe me). Oh yeah, Last night Jessica and Nick were in.DO NOT GO TO FORT LAUDERDALE WITHOUT GOING TO THIS RESTAURANT!PS: This will sound like total BS but, recommended dishes?, every single one (I have tried them all and could never make up my mind with a gun to my head).

  • Why go there and spend that kind of money for food that is good (but not that good) and for waiters who are obnoxious and cold. It's a loud, music filled restaurant which is fun, but if you focus on the meal, there are much better places.I go for the food, not just the atmosphere.

  • The food is exceptional. Best Southern Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at, and I grew up near Little Italy in New York. Music a bit too loud.
