Goat Island Grill Reviews

I eat lunch here often and find the food to be the best for the money in Georgetown. Love the sweet potato fries that they serve with the burgers. The shrimp and grits is very good too. I always have the crab soup in the winter, it's delicious. I'm usually with a group and everyone always loves what they order. I almost always take "out of towners" to the GIG when we are shopping in Georgetown. I would recommend eating on the deck if possible though because the inside has a "mildew/mold" smell I think coming from the A/C vents, that has been there since it was the Magnolia Grill over 10 years ago. Maybe it's just because it's old, some say it's because they are right on the water, but if that smell bothers you, I suggest eating out on the patio. You won't be disappointed with the food, it's always delicious.

If you are traveling the South Carolina coast; visit the Goat Island Grill, you will be delicoiusly surprised. The Goat Island Grill is located on the waterfront, overlooking the Georgetown Harbor and anchorage offering indoor and outdoor patio dining. This restaurant is close to my home, my wife Stephanie is a manager and tends the bar. If you happen by, I'm sure you will enjoy your visit. We visit quite frequently. Captain Morgan is usually there. The menu offers Fine Low Country cuisine. Seafood is the specialty, with steaks and pasta rounding out the menu. The GIG offers many fine wines and Chef offers parings with entrees. Veiw their reserve list at www.goatislandgrill.com. The GIG is one of many interesting places in Georgetown. The harbor walk alone is worth a visit as there are many shops and other restaurants; also the Rice Museum. There are tours given through the historic district of town year round. www.goatislandgrill.com
