GAIA Cafe Reviews

  • The food is usually great and reasonable. Don't expect to be coddled by the wait staff. It is a funky place (in a good way) with unique food that is super fresh. Probably the best food for the money in the GR area.

  • The bean burrito, cornbread, and peanut butter toast was good but other than that the food, the soups lack flavor. Overall I would give the restaurant a fair for trying but the food needs improvement.

  • This restaurant is actually vegetarian, though most of the regulars are not. Gaia offers delightfully fresh food, including the veggie hash, which is a mound of colorful veggies smothered in melted cheese and blended with a hint of garlic. Many of the menu items are made fresh in house including focaccia and cornbreads as well as the infamous Gaia cookie, chock-full of everything that makes cookies so good. House recipe soups and nightly dinner specials ranging from polenta to pasta keep even the most carnivorous coming back for more.
