  The food is usually great and reasonable. Don't expect to be coddled by the wait staff. It is a funky place (in a good way) with unique food that is super fresh. Probably the best food for the money in the GR area.

  The bean burrito, cornbread, and peanut butter toast was good but other than that the food, the soups lack flavor. Overall I would give the restaurant a fair for trying but the food needs improvement.

  This restaurant is actually vegetarian, though most of the regulars are not. Gaia offers delightfully fresh food, including the veggie hash, which is a mound of colorful veggies smothered in melted cheese and blended with a hint of garlic. Many of the menu items are made fresh in house including focaccia and cornbreads as well as the infamous Gaia cookie, chock-full of everything that makes cookies so good. House recipe soups and nightly dinner specials ranging from polenta to pasta keep even the most carnivorous coming back for more.
