• For $10, you get your money's worth, but the food isn't spectacular. Most of the chicken dishes and the lo mein varieties are a safe bet. The dessert bar and ice cream machine are usually a hit. The hot and sour soup is consistently decent and good for dealing with a nasty cold. ;)Since it's a buffet, staff will only serve you drinks, but they are usually good with refills and timely with the check.

• Ming's is what it is. A Chinese buffet in the UP. Like all restaurants around here it can be hit and miss. At least it's not yoopered up versions of food like elsewhere.

• Get takeout with General Tso chicken and Szechuan chicken. Add egg drop soup and rangoons.

• When ordering soup it is 3.50 per person so only one soup per table. They make it in batches.
