  • jpsizer reviewThe culinary experience at Mark's represents all that is good about food presentation and all that is wrong with true commitment to quality and quality customer service. The general ambiance created by the gothic church facility is very interesting. The food is quite good in general, but over priced, while service is poor. The restaraunt keeps a very wide variety in it's wine cellar, but it's weak attempt at pretention reveals a limited knowledge of the vintner's art. The most offensive negative issue exhibited by Mark's is the deceptive practices that often result in over-billing. Overall, the Mark's experience is quite similar to a four week old gulf snapper grilled to perfection and boldly presented. The presentation is quite inviting, and that first bite may appeal due to hunger, but there is always a very disturbing after taste that is the precursor to buyer's remorse.

  • Gem Q.Friendly waiter and cool seasonal menu. Great ambiance. We got an appetizer with mini pumpkins and lobster and it was heavenly. I really loved the breadbasket too - great variety.

  • Heather S.Best food in town. Gorgeous inside. Pricey but worth it. Over friendly staff, maybe too friendly at times. And only negative it felt rushed inside. But overall a MUST visit.

  • CultureMap HoustonWhile there are no bad tables, we suggest requesting a seat in the cloisters or in the organ loft, which now holds wine racks and a few select tables.
