The Rieger Hotel Grill and Exchange Reviews
We're big fans of the Smoked Beet Reuben. Think the soul of a Jewish deli reincarnated in Kansas City. (And it's vegetarian!)
by Serious Eats
Be sure to check out the speakeasy in the basement

One of my favorite restaurants in the city!!! Sit at the Chef's bar if you get the chance to watch where the magic happens. Order everything! It's all delicious! Service is fantastic!
by Kerry B.
A menu carefully curated by chef/owner Howard Hanna that changes seasonally and some of the best cocktails in town. Try them for lunch for entrees $10-$13!
by Kansas City
Best gin and tonic you'll ever taste. The Pendergast is fantastic too. And there's no bad decision on the (seasonally changing) food menu...
by Jonathan R.
Get the veg special of the day. You wont be disapointed.
by Ian T.
Espresso is lackluster. Cocktails make up for it. The Pendergast!
by AJ V.
The rabbit is decent. A good dish (not great). Fun to try given very few places have it.

Effing amazing KC strips! Service is awesome as well!
by Patricia V.
Pork Cheek Pie+ G&T = insanity. Get them!

Everything here is great.

The bartender on Monday and Wednesday nights is incredible. Tip well and tell him he looks like a young John Travolta. Oh and the pork cheek potpie is mouthwatering. Thank chef Howard Hanna in advance

Lobster Roll on lunch menu with Sprouts. Amazing.
by Lacey Y.
Jenn is the best bartender in the city. Don't know what you want? Tell her what you feel like and she'll make something up.

The bar in basement is bomb

Try the Octopus! It's absolutely amazing!
Wade B. is an idiot. Don't listen to him. Amazing food and drinks all around.

Try the Smoked Fennel & Apple Sausage Whole Grain Mustard (via @Foodspotting)
by Sherry L.
The Rieger Pork Soup is the most amazing thing ever. You won't regret a taste of this culinary delight. Also, ask to say hi to Ryan and Howard - the owners are always available to meet their clients

Curried lentil soup with lamb is the bomb!
Try the Lemon Cello by Jen! Family recipe and totally spectacular!
Try the smoked beet rueben
by Katy W.
Best restaurant in KC - bar none. Venture out and order a Rieger Gin and Tonic. You won't regret it, regardless if you enjoy a "traditional" G/T...
by Jason C.
Try the Pendergast cocktail. Nice...
by Greg F.
Jen is an amazing bartender. Order the Last Word... One of the best cocktails I've had in awhile!
by Leslie K.
By far the best drinks in town! Sit at the bar and don't plan on leaving for a while! Menu is fantastic and honestly order their nightly specials. Their fixed menu is good but not great however ev
by Jason K.
Try the Rabbit Pot Pie, the Halibut on special, Sweetbreads, and the Cassoulet. Fantastic service!
by Angela T.
Ignore Wade B.'s comment.
by Michele C.
The chocolate here is damn good. Get the ones that are whiskey filled. For real. Awesome.
by Ramsey M.
The second tip is wrong this place is the bomb.com
by Paul J.
Came here for dinner on NYE, it was the worst meal I had all year. The portions were tiny and disgusting. Costco sample's are larger than the plates here. The whiskey chocolates will make you gag!
by Wade B.
Perfect Cocktail is...well...perfect.
trout, whiskey chocolates, and any if the custom drinks are all amazing
