• While the previous writer wrote unremarkable, I would give them a RECOMMENDED review. With over 40 Chinese places in Grand Rapids, I like this one the best. Worth the drive for a family run restaurant :-)Portions are good. Prices are GREAT. How often can you feed FOUR adults at lunch with soup, Wontons, Entree and fortune cookie under $20? And nowhere in town can you get a fountain Pepsi with free refills for $1. Sure McD's is up the street, but I like the service here better.

• ...and the only one.Chee Peng is pretty much an unremarkable, run-of-the-mill Chinese takeout joint, but in our small town it's a nice alternative to McDonalds, Subway or the local greasy spoons. The dining room is clean, if a little small, prices are fair and service is speedy. The menu has a large selection to choose from.

• Everything is fresh and tastes wonderful. We had egg drop soup, crab ragoons, sweet and sour chicken, and orange chicken tonight. Had plenty to take home for lunch tomorrow. Shop local!
