East Side Mario's Reviews

  • Went in early one evening for a birthday bash - just 2 of us. Were seated immediately. Service was great! Fabulous martinis, wine...eggplant parmigiana!! Mouth-watering. The bread comes when you sit down and they bring the olive oil and balsamic. Warm bread and great salad. We topped it off with a shared spumoni. Taking another friend to a birthday bash this Saturday. Can't wait.

  • I went there for the first time for a birthday brunch on Sunday. Oh-my-God!!! I absolutely HAVE to go back. You see, the Beligum waffles were light and airy, but crispy on the outside. They melted in my mouth. The menudo was some of the best that I've tasted in QUITE some time. The omelette bar was loaded with extremely fresh items and it was quite extensive. With plenty of eggs, meat, fruit and the likes, you literally have to FORCE yourself to save room for the chocolate fountain. There are a selection of items to skewer (including bananas, strawberries, marshmallows, graham crackers, oreos, donuts and more) and dip into the streaming chocolate. This place is family-friendly. Staff was ultra friendly and there was a magician there to entertain us between trips to the buffet.

  • I had Eastside Mario's cater my wedding because the food is that good! The bread is the best. It's served hot with garlic and butter melted on top...yum! My favorite dish is the spinach lasagna, which comes with three or four different cheeses. The Italian wedding soup, Caesar salad, raspberry margaritas, and B-52s are some of my other faves, but I haven't had anything there that I don't like. You'll be pleasantly surprised when you see how much food you get for such an incredibly low price. Oh yeah, soup, bread, and salad are unlimited. Dang, I can't wait to go again.

  • The food at Eastside Mario's is incredibly delicious and definitely worth taking the time and trying. Get there early 'cuz it's a popular place. There's a bar with TVs where you can eat and watch the game with your buds, or you can sit on the restaurant side and have a romantic dinner with a loved one. Make sure you look up! The place is decorated to look like you're sitting outside in an Italian neighborhood. If you're lucky, you'll sit under lingerie still drying on a line from its previous wash. Visit Mario's just for the bread. It comes to you hot and fresh when seated. It's got just the right amount of garlic plus still melting butter on top. The Caesar salad is fantastic. My fave dish is one I always share with my honey. I can't recall the name of the dish (I think it's something like Papa's Trio), but it's got your classic Fetuccini Alfredo, Chicken Parmigiana (which I'm constantly craving) and your choice of meat or spinach lasagna. Go with the spinach. It is heavenly. (I wasn't fond of it the first time I had it, but now it is an absolute must.) The amount of food on your plate is definitely enough to share. But have two separate dishes and share those if you'd like. The more food, the better, I say. And a nice touch are the names you're given when waiting for a table. It's not your name they call, instead you're assigned the name of someone famous. It's very charming. And the service is fantastic. Go there! You will not regret it! I'm sure you will go back as repeatedly as I do(at least once a month, more now that the semester has ended!).
