  • ChefMozI went there with friends last night. The service was great, the food was wonderful. Great atmosphere.

  • ChefMozI took my husband to this restaurant for his birthday. The busboys hovered over us and then when we were actually done, they were nowhere to be found. Our waitress brought our food and then she disappeared too. It was horrible.

  • ChefMozThis restaurant is over rated. It's no hidden gem - only 1/3 of the tables were seated on a August Friday night at 7:30PM. The locals are on to this place. My prime rib was good not great, but slow roasted - I don't think so. A ribeye was so tough that it bent a fork. Bread pudding desert was nothing special. Even with the sparse patronage the restaurant was loud - intimate dining, I don't think so.

  • ChefMozVery disappointed by the last dinner there. Lousy service, slow and when you order half a duck it should be half including the breast and wing not just two legs and two thighs. Not worth the price, AT ALL!

  • ChefMozThis place was suggested to me by a couple of artist friends who live in Chicago Heights. I was in the area staying in Aurora, and this was about halfway for all of us to meet. I really don't know what I was expecting, but I was impressed to say the least. The renovation was incredibly well done for a building that is nearly 150 years old. The server was attentive. She was quite patient with the fact that we were celebrating Christmas and exchanging gifts...not at all intrusive and checked back regularly to see if we were ready or had any questions. The blackened filet was a tad too spicy for my tastes, but the quality and flavor of the meat was outstanding.I will be moving to the area in a year or so and will be looking for employment in the hospitality field; this is the type of place I would love to work.

  • ChefMozThe building is old and has been well maintained, I found the dining area very interesting. I had the salmon - it was decent. The all female servers are even dressed like it's the early 1900s.
