Blogger Reviews of Yuca's
Is It Any Good on Jan 30, 2015
So I ordered up the Cochinita Pibil which is a Torta filled with stewed Yucatan style Pork on a Telera Roll with beans, mayo, chipotle salsa, lettuce, avocado and of course, Yuca's Special Salsa. Oh man that was good.
The tacos, burgers ! Cute spot small with seating out side, can get little crowed at noon, but worth the little wait

Check out Yuca as seen on Food Paradise

Food used to be extremely good, now they use pinto beans instead of black on the chochinita. Tip - skip it! Food is bland now that the owner is not there, or not there as often.

Burrito: kinda small, no rice, and not really that tasty at all. I think it's waaaaay over rated. Drink: horrible selection on drinks. Won't be coming back....

40% more expensive and 30% less satisfying than the taco truck on hillhurst and santa monica

Cochinita or machaca on anything. Delicious. Cash only - no bills over $20.

Go for carnitas or carne asada burrito with green chili peppers. Bring your own water. Weekly lunch spot.

Carne asada or Machaca burrito with chili peppers. Bring your own drinks.

Yuca’s carnitas are delicious, but the standout taco is the cochinita pibil, a tender, mild pork stew that stains the tortilla with its orange, greasy goodness.

My regular is Carnitas Burrito once a week. No cheese, no sour cream, no fancy fillings. Just really good meat. With hot peppers on the side. Bring your own drinks.

Get one of each taco- cochinita pubil, Carne asada, and carnitas. Then spend the rest of your life deciding which one you like best!

Save the tin foil. They make a great hat.

We had the carnitas and carne asada tacos; tamale; and cheeseburger. Not impressed. Barely any seasoning at all. So if that's your thing, go for it. It's not mine. (Cheeseburger was mostly lettuce. )

Everytime I come here I get a warm and friendly attitude. Everytime I go to the one on Hollywood, I'm given burnt food and a harsh tone.

Awesome burritos and tacos.
by LA Home & Style
Just keep in mind that its cash only.

A little pricey but good!
I love this little shack! They serve the BEST mexican food in LA. Try the Carne asada burrito, any of their tacos (yes, they're that good), & the steak sandwich. IT'S ALL AMAZING <3

Been coming here for years. LOVE it

Try the amazing cochinita pibil sandwich--the achiote-stained pork it's filled with is as messy as it is delicious:

Try the tamales when they are available. Delicious pork on the inside and the masa shell is just thick enough to hold it all together.

Carne asada burrito & cheesburger are MUST HAVES!!!

Best cochinita pibil torta in LA
by Natalie W.
Yuca's overcooked slapdash cheeseburger is a spartan yet glorious thing that'll awaken your childhood memories of cookouts and summercamp. P.S. The cochinita pibil torta is a sandwich dream come true.

Carne Asada and Cochinita Pibil tacos... and don't forget the green habanero hot sauce!

Rancho Los Feliz was officially recorded in 1843. It goes South from Travel Town to Western and Fountain Avenues, then West to the Los Angeles River, then follows the river North back to Travel Town.

You can't go wrong here. I've never had such great tacos. And the prices are a relief after LA prices.

Carne asada burrito is tip top...

Go to the one on Hollywood so you aren't crowding up the best Taco stand in town.

You are the best burrito I've had in LA! Yessss! Carnitas are so good. Cash only!
by Danielle N.
Best macchaca around, in either a taco or burrito. Yumm
by Ashley R.
I was genuinely disappointed by their bean & cheese burrito...a sad affair with goopy whole beans, a dry tortilla and American cheese.
by Karl H.
It's a cash only joint. Get cash back when you purchase a cervesa at the liquor store next door. Order the burrito, taco, or torta conchita bipil- Yucatan style pulled pork.
by Kristine S.
Carna Asade burritos - delicious!
I know it's a taco stand but the burgers are surprisingly delish.
by An X.
My fav are the carne asada tacos -- the best
by Rajeev D.
