  • ChefMozprobably the most underrated gem in all of LA. if you are like sushi, this is the place. if you haven't had good sushi, this is the place to start. it's so good i relish w/ummmmmmm-s whenever i down them. super fresh fish and great service from family -owned joint. highly recommended. try it and you will not regret it. it's a splurge but worth it.

  • ChefMoz the best sushi! service was outstanding.

  • ChefMozThe sushi here is great! Super fresh and melts in your mouth. I've been completely spoiled and it's hard for other places to match the quality of the sushi here. Sit at the sushi bar and enjoy the chef's choice for the day. The style is very traditional Japanese. Simple and all about the flavor and texture of the fish. You won't be disappointed.

  • Tom A.This place is the best sushi in the area.

  • goopHe presents seasonal highlights and rare cuts (among other delights, we sampled a buttery escolar with a light garlic glaze, and kinka-saba, a thinly sliced, sweet Mackerel from northern Japan).

  • LA WeeklyYou will notice that the rice is not just warm, but hot, and that the soft fish melts into it in your mouth, enveloping the sweet grains almost like a sauce.

  • DailyCandyNo cell phones. Come hungry. Chef Shinji Murata runs a tight ship, and the discipline extends to his ingredient selections — only the best blue crab, baby tuna, escolar, and salmon skin make the cut.

  • AshleyBest Omakase ever.

  • EaterThe rice is warm, and the sushi is achingly fresh, though selections are a bit more straightforward than other high-end places. To get beyond the set menu with special items, politely ask the chef.

  • Davis B.Sit at the sushi bar. The chef keeps serving you the most amazing sushi of his choice until you say stop. Sooo good!

  • JoyThe monk fish hand roll is amazing. Make sure you try.

  • JeannieLet the chef decide for you. He's strict but it is so fresh and completely worth being scared by him! Oh and make sure to power down phones or you'll be in the sushi dog house.
