  • ToTheMaxx reviewFabulous food, romantic setting. This restaurant has an excellent atmosphere, a menu which makes it so difficult to choose between extremely tempting dishes, exquisite food in presentation, taste, & texture, a wine list with great variety. Service however was sub par. We had reservations and still had to wait 30 minutes to get seated, as other guests that came in after us were ushered in... We also were not offered complimentary drinks as were other couples that waited with us...

  • Mark888 reviewI was a guest of Jerry Kohl`s at Ivy on August 9, 2002 . It was a wonderful evening - excellent service ( not rushed at all) and delicious food - beautifully presented. The portions were huge - I had soft crabs and raw oysters. Guess what - I am from Maryland and the dishes passed the taste test by leaps and bounds. Yeh for Ivy. I was seated outside next to Michael J. Fox and I am a nobody. I am happy to report that nobody bothered him. He's a very special person.

  • al90064 reviewI probably will never go back to this restuarant. I went on my birthday(March 11, 2004 or 2005 - rather not remeber). I arrived in a limo, but by the taste of the food I would have come in style in a pinto. No celebs that I recognized. Environment was OK. I ordered the blackend shrimp (i think). It truly was the worst shrimp-anything I've had. It was so hard it was like chewing on gristle. I was there with my mom and my boyfriend. I couldn't even complain because I didn't want to ruin the well-planned out evening. Believe it or not I am a very very easy person to please. Maybe they were have a bad night, but my shrimp tasted like a few people sent it back and the kitchen reheated, burning it in the process, and slapped it on a plate with few days old rice. It really ruined my birthday, I was starved to the rest of the night due to the fact I had barely eaten any of the `sh*t on a plate` they served me. Sorry, but I will not be a returning customer and I don't recommend it for the food.

  • rhinospear reviewWent to the Ivy on 27 May - no celebs, just losts of 'wannabees'. Chef's special Lobster pasta was delicious but the meat loaf was disgusting and dumped on the plate with a huge lump of brocolli and mashed potatoes - looked like it should have been served to a 'Trucker' (no offence Truckers!)

  • Mark888 reviewI went to the Ivy on the 24th of April 2005, don't think I saw any0one famous, we just walked in off the street and they gave us an outside table like we requested, the food was good, the service was good, they did not rush us at all.

  • vannaleeshop reviewONLY if you are a major somebody, you are treated good, the food was not good and the service was horrible, I am sorry I tipped them. They rushed you and never refilled our drinks. What a terrible experience. These people do not know the REAL world!

  • thatwardgirl reviewRU Kidding me?? Sure the food was OK and our waitress was sweet but sheesh! TOOOO expensive for boring old comfort food. Go across the street to Chaya for gorgeous food at the same price.

  • joygirl68 reviewthe ivy!!!!--new to cali and wanting to have a superb experienced enjoyed by stars and such--what the hell do they like about this place!!!--it was crowded-grossly overpriced and how do waiters look down on you when they have chosen the SERVICE industry--i guess it is one of those things that only tiny white people can enjoy the decor is fussy and ridiculous and its crowded and it was not even busy while we were there--DID NOT ENJOY THIS EXPERIENCE AT ALL-wanted my money back!!!
