When I first moved to Ohio on 2002, Smiley's had become one my first "regular" spots to go to and eat. Their meatball subs are the best I have ever eaten and most of the other items on the menu get the same reviews. The salads are a bit weak and if you can substitute for soup, do it. I even introduced some of my family members to the place and they are from Massillon and had never eaten there. Now it's a regular stop for them also. I stopped going there about a year ago because it was a smoking establishment and I just couldn't handle the smoke. However, now that there is no smoking, I will be returning to enjoy their food. People are great, food is great and their prices are just right!!!

The food is wonderful and homemade. The smell of the bread baking as you enter the restaurant is enough to get your mouth watering. Now that it's non-smoking, this place is perfect in every way; a real neighborhood gathering spot.

Family-owned with friendly service, excellent food, and reasonable prices. Their fresh baked rolls are delicious. Smiley's is definitely one of the finest establishments in all of Massillon.
