Young Avenue Deli Reviews
Probably the most popular bar in Midtown Memphis, Young Avenue Deli has everything you could expect from a bar, all the beer and liquor you could want, not to mention a fairly extensive menu with all the fatty foods necessary to fill your stomach for that drunken drive home. They also have the ability to draw in a few decent bands every month which is remarkable since Memphis is known for its lack of good shows. I've seen Bright Eyes, the Shins, Clem Snide, Tristeza, and many other bands here. Their taste in local music is exceptional as well. So it has a lot going for it. If you're strapped for cash, I recommend Pabst Blue Ribbon at two bucks a pop, getting loaded doesn't get any cheaper.
Might be worst food and experience here ever. I'm more productive when I sleep than our server. And God forbid her to act like she cares that she's at work. Very disappointed :(

They ain't kiddin when they say the service sucks. Almost every time, I end up with a surly waitress or dick bartender. Love the food, love the atmosphere, but the service is def driving folks away.

My favorite bar in Midtown (and not just cause you can find my name on the huge CocaCola sign)! Food is great and they deliver! Great beer selection. TERRIBLE employee attitudes, however.

Try the Beer-battered everything. And try out the trivia on Thursday nights. The competition doesn't set the bar too high.

Fries are delish!

There is a huge stage set up at the front of the bar for live bands. Reasonable prices and a wide beer selection makes Young Avenue Deli one of the best music venues outside of Downtown Memphis.

You can get bacon bits on your cheese fries for no extra charge. You're welcome, bacon lovers.

This place sucks. They switched from a patriots playoff game to the UFC. Lame

pool tables and a juke box. pay the extra change to get your music played right away or else you have to wait through some heavy metal lover's idea of good music. great local crowd, loves it

If there's a live band playing, don't hold out hope you'll be able to continue your conversation.

beer battered artichoke hearts are amazing!
by Raquel M.
If you face the windows during a sunny day, you'll likely be blinded by the sun bouncing off the building across the street. Try facing the bar or pool tables instead.
