  • ChefMozIt is indeed unfortunate that we only visit the Twin Cities once a year; Al's is always on our itinerary when we go. The chummy atmosphere and quick-witted banter between the waitstaff and cooks is a delight. And breakfast is the absolute best we've ever eaten anywhere. Wish we could enjoy this place frequently enough to have a persoanlized coffee cup on the shelf. Any time you want to open a satellite on Florida's west coast, we'll help you find the right spot!

  • Marty W.The blueberry walnut pancakes are insane and I loved the huevos scramble with peppers and onions and homemade salsa, too.

    55555 by Marty W.

  • Emily SLovely and super old-school breakfast counter with only 14 seats, filled with people who've been going for decades and tourists alike. Awesome service. The eggs Benedict are 👌, albeit quite buttery.

    55555 by Emily S

  • Lauren C.Best pancakes I've ever had. The service was wonderful, and it was a fun atmosphere.

    55555 by Lauren C.

  • Ryan K.Careful with holding a line spot for someone else. If you get called, the person should be there or else you forfeit the seat. Also be prepared for sliding during the meal to accommodate.

    33333 by Ryan K.

  • Chee Yi O.One of the best breakfast spots that I've been to. The inside of the building can get pretty warm regardless of season. Try the José and pancakes! Be on the lookout for sarcastic servers.

    55555 by Chee Yi O.

  • Men's Health MagThe pancakes are extraordinary: plate-sized, thin, and chewy, with a good measure of buttermilk, and blueberries or giant blackberries can be added. Don't skip the eggs benedict, either.

    55555 by Men's Health Mag

  • Jesus P.Had ham, eggs and blueberry wheat pancakes, all pretty good. Auper small place. Cash only.

    55555 by Jesus P.

  • Chesay C.Ummm, it was just ok. The space is really tight and the wait can be long. If you're into the hipster crowd and don't mind waiting it's an ok spot.

    55555 by Chesay C.

  • Joe F.Best to come in small groups. Anything over 3 gets unmanageable. The blueberry pancakes are famous but I prefer the corn ones. Definitely get bacon. Put syrup on everything.

    55555 by Joe F.
