Why, you might ask, are you focusing on dining at night in New Orleans? Isn't the food there good anytime? Of course it is! But one must make distinctions between their blog posts somehow, and with the massive amount of eating we did in New Orleans.

The Marigny Brasserie is another great dining option on Frenchmen. We enjoyed a brunch one day and dinner another. Cajun - Creole style food but a bit more up-scale than Praline's, and they had live entertainment during both of our visits.
Great location, been several times but it is impossible to get the plate you ordered, or for the temperature of you steak to be correct

Very friendly service!

On the weekend, they'll seat you right away, then it's a bait and switch. You'll wait a good bit for your meal.

this place SUCKS-looked like a decent place in pics-slow service-apathetic attitudes-cold over priced uninteresting food-I had andouille sausage plate-it was literally two sausage links cut lengthwise

Food was really really tasty. Service seems disorganized. Slow to seat and service.

We've had six different entrees and three appetizers. All were excellent. And a great wine list too. Definitely recommend this place!

decent enough food. PHENOMENALLY bad service. eat elsewhere.

This place was the worst place we ate at in N.O. The service was horrible, the food took an HOUR to receive, and when I asked to speak with the manager about the meal, he gave me nothing but excuses.

The turkey, havarti, cucumber sandwich harkens back to the original coffee shop around the corner on Royal & Touro. I've missed it. Glad it's back. Service is very poor.
by Will N.
On the corner of Frenchman Street and Royal, Marigny Brasserie beckons with local Cajun, Creole and Italian fare. Enjoy a bowl of chicken and andouille sausage gumbo with an Abita beer for lunch.
by Eric T.
An hour and a half in, no greeting from the server; took our own order and handed it in and 40 minutes later, I've wiped down my own table, served drinks and taken an order. Abysmal.
by Susie W.
Don't add shrimp to your salad! $6 gets you six TINY shrimp. I'm talking maybe quarter sized with tail. A definate FAIL.
by John Wyatte F.
Meh... nothing outstanding. Dining room noise nearly unbearable with much of a crowd.
by Kirk P.
Don't listen to nay sayers. Food great, they recently redid the menu to include sandwiches which are great! Service and cocktails were exceptional.
by Danny H.
They've been trying to find the right food for this place for years. Now it's poboys, some Italian choices and what not. I love the layout, food is slow and management could be better.
by Tom M.
Ewww gross. Tip: cocktails are good but don't eat here.

Eat the Onion Ring Appetizer!
