  • kelgrant6 reviewI'm sorry to say my experience was less than my expectations. I made reservation for 12:30p and we were not allowed to sit until 1:15p. When we did sit down the dining room was empty. Our waiter was inattentive, at best. The fancy Cajun Bloody Mary was terrible. Our food was slow to arrive, and when it did, it was cold. Our waiter prepared the Banana's Foster behind my back so that I could not see him do it. Brennans is way overrated.

  • NewCareer reviewI've seen & heard several negative comments for Brennan's brunch. We went New Year's Eve dinner and it was extraordinary. Pass on the brunch (apparently) and shell out for the dinner. It is most definately worth it

  • thecosy reviewMy wife and I went for breakfast at Brennan's on our recent trip to New Orleans. Probably the most disapointing dining experience I've ever had! Breakfast cost over $100.00, the food was very ordinary (for New Orleans) and the service was terrible. The only good part of the entire meal were the bloody marys we started with, after that it went straight down hill. The appetizers were very ordinary (oyster soup and baked apple). The eggs benedict were very poorly done, they almost tasted like they were cooked ahead and reheated! The bananas foster weren't cooked at the table, were cold when they arrived and had the banana strings still in them! Not once did the waiters ask if things were ok or if we wanted anything else. I had to ask for bread and for a refill on my wife's coffee (the check did come very quickly though). The service was so bad that a table near us got up and left before their food even arrived because they were so frustrated with the waiter! This was the only bad experience we had on our trip, the rest of our meals were fantastic wherever we went, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or money on this place, it's a tourist trap!

  • geofiz78 reviewWe (4 of us) went for the highly touted breakfast. We sat in a small bleak hallway with a partial view of the court. The menu expects diners to eat hugely and offers little choice for a companion who wants a light breakfast. Our waitor was quick to move us on to the next course, but slow to ask about our food. Our coffee was cold. Although the eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly, the Holland rusks (in place of English muffins) were stale and tasteless. The rim of my dessert dish was badly chipped and broken, the dish and food were replaced but the replacement dish was chipped also. The bananas Foster were not flamed at our table. We eat better at home.

  • DiningDiva reviewThe best breakfast of your life! That's the experience at Brennan's. Casual attire is acceptable for breakfast.... be ready for an exceptional 2 hour meal! Go for the whole thing...begin with a mimosa or poinsettia....have the mind boggling turtle soup.....it is the birthplace of eggs benedict...do it with a twist...wine is a must (even for breakfast)..and of course bananas foster (your server will tell you the story behind this innovation)! Don't be rushed here.....it is worth every taste and every dollar!

  • 1chick reviewOur Breakfast at Brennan's was a highlight of our New Orleans trip. I asked for a menu as a souvenir and they graciously gave us one. I recommend them to everyone!

  • hharada reviewHave been to Brennan's twice. Once for dinner and once for breakfast. The dinner, which was blackened redfish was outstanding!! My service experience both times was also outstanding. At breakfast, we had a waiter who never seemed to leave our tableside. The bananas Foster were cooked at tableside and were great, although I personally like those served at Copeland's better. Have to admit, over $ 150 for three people for breakfast is quite steep. Can now say I've had breakfast at Brennan's and enjoyed it, but once is enough!

  • mccram reviewThe setting is wonderful, the wines on offer were fantastic and not overly expensive for what they were, the turtle soup was terrific as was the bread roll. The service was ok. The omelet was the worst i have ever eaten. the waiters didn't ask why i hadn't eaten very much which is bad. i would happily go agin for the soup and the wine but if a cook can't cook a good omelet i hate to think what they would do with something that required knowledge and skill.
