Blogger Reviews of Commander's Palace Restaurant

  • Tiffany Tastes on Aug 08, 2013

New Orleans is a food city, and plenty of "celebrity chefs" have at least one restaurant in the Crescent City. I wanted to experience some of the best food in the city, so we patronized some of the big-name places...

  • highhouse reviewThe most overated food in the culinary world! I had a 5 course tasting menu...I sent back everything to the kitchen...foie gras was not cleaned properly and tasted like acid reflux, the $ 30.00 filet was a # 2 grade that was not tender. Never waste your money there...Jeffrey Harriman, Certified Executive Chef

  • slack13 reviewThis was the worst dining experience of my life. There were three other women with me. We had reservations, but that did not seem to matter because we waited over one hour and still had not been seated. We finally made a scene and got the manager's attention. He proceeded to seat us at the worst table in the place. We just got up and left. I cannot consider this fine dining. I have better luck at the Outback Steakhouse. We did however have wonderful food at The Grill Room at the Windsor Court and at the Metro, which was right around the corner from the Hotel.

  • hharada reviewHave eaten here at least five times over the past years -- both lunches and dinners. Never have been disappointed. Lunches are relatively reasonable in cost. Service has been outstanding. Really a gracious dining atmosphere in the dining rooms. The outside tent seems a little lacking and more hurried. Can't remember dress code for dinner, but lunch dress is only limited to no shorts or t-shirts.

  • alohadonna reviewOnce or twice a year we travel from our home in Hawaii to Louisiana to see relatives. We always make a stop overnight in N.Orleans specifically to eat at Commander's Palace. We are never dissappointed. We have eaten all over the world from S. Francisco to London to Rome to Dublin and frequently in New York and Chicago. Commander's Palace ranks with the best for food and service. Donna Goldcamp Kailua, Hawaii
