  • NM_Bill reviewBiggest disappointment ever for a N.O. restaurant. After several visits and dozens of meals finally ate at Bon Ton. Gads, this must be an unfortunate post-Katrina temporary problem like not finding a chef. Strangely waitress warned us off of various options. Then food arrived somewhat slowly - luke warm, lack of any spiceiness, resting in a pool of grease. Notable (supossedly) bread pudding dessert was soggy and bland except for the strong whiskey sauce. Our worst N.O. meal ever - and we've had many fine to nearly heavenly. An abberation perhaps, but a bummer for us.

  • eqqhrvd reviewI was first introduced to this restaurant by some friends who come to N.O. often. Now everytime I go to New Orleans I eat here. The food is excellent. The selection of wine is good. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The atmosphere is very comfortable. I just can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Whenever in New Orleans you must try this restaurant.

  • Eric D.Cajun classics done right. If you need an introduction to cajun cuisine, this is as good a place to start as any. Étouffée, jambalaya, gumbo, the list goes on and on. Great fried catfish too.

  • foodforfelThe best meal I had in NOLA. Order anything and everything: the shrimp, crab and okra gumbo, crab au gratin, crawfish étouffée and DEFINITELY the bread pudding a la mode are all winners.

  • Peter L.Cajun: Bon Ton is an awesome throwback to another generation's restaurant. It's all about the tradition. They won't share the recipe with the diner. They do great dishes the old way.

  • Kimberly K.Bread pudding will change your life.
