  • NM_Bill reviewWe finally ate here after avoiding due to its location re: Marriott and Sheraton. Glad we did. Not as casual as some N.O. offerings they do come across as considerably pretentious, but so what - the excellent fare compensated for that and plus. A delightful foodie experience.

  • 1chick reviewAfter hearing rave reviews about this restaurant I decided to give it a whirl, but was severely dissappointed when my food was served burned.

  • hharada reviewI've tended to overlook the Palace Cafe the many times I've been in New Orleans, probably because being a former music store, the exterior still seems store-like. The dining area is quite noisy, probably because of the tile floors. It's possible the upstairs dining area may be quiter, but I've never eaten there. However, the two times I've eaten there, the food was excellent. When there, this last week, it seemed they team new waitstaff together. Their errors were not great, but enough to detract from the dining experience, i.e., came to take our order after an acceptable time to read the menu, but hadn't told us what the day's fish were on the several `catch-of-the-day` entrees. Bananas Foster were the usual excellent Brennan's fare. Great staircase!!
