  • geofiz78 reviewI had high hopes for this place since it is out of the tourist area. The dining room had many fruit flies flying around and one landed in my wine. The Shrimp Remoulade seemed like baby shrimp from a can. The `fresh` trout was obviously portion controlled frozen fish. The roasted potatoes were canned potatoes. I walked out, not paying. The flies made me loose my appetite.

  • clevin reviewThis is one of the best neighborhood restaurants in the city. It has been enjoyed by locals for 50 years. The food is great and the long-time waiters are fantastic. Lots of fun! A piece of history.

  • thecosy reviewI had lunch here in 2004, and had a turtle soup that was fantastic. Courteous wait staff, too.

  • Hank C.Food was very pricey. I am originally from NOLA and try to eat a roast beef poboy every time I go home. The sandwich here was average at best. Sandwich fell apart and I had to finish it with a fork.

  • EpicuriousThe turtle soup is some of the best in town. The po'boys are good, too. And the bartenders are particularly adept at Sazeracs and Old Fashioneds.

  • Eric D.Classic New Orleans cuisine. They do beautiful things with crab and crawfish. Right on Canal so it's easy to hop a streetcar to/from the quarter.

  • Monique C.This places food is what I imagine you'd find in an old folks home cafeteria with 5-star prices. Ordered a crawfish etouffee that reminded me too much of cat food I couldn't touch it. All around bland
