We ordered chicken, which was so greasy the grease dripped off the chicken. Instead of what we ordered, it was a thigh and skinny wing, no potatoes, no butter, with a bag of chips. When I called to complain, the manager accused me of insulting him when I jokingly suggested that if they didn't know the difference between a thigh and breast, they needed to go back to chicken school. Guess he didn't appreciate my humor.
Avoid the crowds and wait and eat at the one in Shadow Lake (72nd & Hwy 370).
Watch out for snotty customers.

Best egg salad in town
Best wedding cake
This is a regular stop every time I'm in town. Try to control yourself once you see all of the goodies baked fresh daily.

Bizarre Jean Stothert endorsement on the mugs
Try the fondue! Yum!

I recommend this location instead of the one in the old market. Bigger selection for soups of the day, better service, and better atmosphere. Also they are open later!

Gluten free cinnamon rolls, but currently they only bake them thurs, fri, sat and sun. On those days they often run out by 11 or 12 so come early. You can special order any day if you want 6 or more

Make sure your drink has an odor strong enough to mask the wet dog smell of their glasses.

Stay away. The food is not worth experiencing the sexist religious views they push in the restaurant.

Just walking in, you already feel like you need a shot of insulin. The strata and quiche are must.

Farmhouse has the most of the same food (wheatfields owner used to co-own farmhouse) but theirs is WAY better.

Sunday mornings get busy at around 9AM, but the food is delectable (try the Georgia's Greek Combo!).

We love that place. We go there sometimes on Sunday morning. Wish we were there right now.

Jalepeno chicken soup, Ron's honeyfried chicken, the herbed ranch, cinnamon rolls with extra icing, and strawberry wedding cake... one of Omaha's best joints.
