  • mapa reviewThis is not as good a resaturant as the other reviews present. We were greeted by a rude hostess who waved us to a section of the restaurant and abruptly walked off. The waiter seemed totally disinterested. He threw the menus down and walked away. Upon returning the asked `so what do you want`. We ordered the specialty - the whiskey steak. The steak was over cooked, dry and other than the excessive whiskey flavor, tasteless. The steak was served with pencil hard french fires!! A $23 steak served with french fries!! The salad bar was ok. As a person from Wisconsin, however, the absence of cheese was surprising. If this is one of the best steakhouses in Omaha, this does not say much for the steakhouses in Omaha. Try someplace else.

  • BrettHart reviewI have to give it a four, based on their signature Whiskey Ribeye. It is a great place to have the best ribeye in town. I have eaten a lot of great steaks and eaten at all the best restaurants in town and this is the place to go for a steak.

  • bronoskyk reviewWe are from out of town, but we try and stop in at the Drover when we do come in. The wiskey steaks are great-- the service is very good as well.

  • bronoskyk revieworder the whiskey filet. it is absolutely wonderful!!!! this is my favorite steakhouse in omaha. the salad bar and side dishes are nothing too exceptional except that they have great baked potatoes. will continue to return again and again.

  • gregorys1 reviewI have lived in Omaha most of my life and I have eaten some of the top rated steak houses in the country. The Drover rates right with the best. I've never eaten in any better, in any category, except the Prime Rib. The Whiskey Filet, Crablegs and Onion Rings are to die for.

  • lhroth1 reviewI have been to some of the finest steakhouses in the country and the Drover would rank with places in Chicago, KC, and Dallas. I would put this resturant as the best in a 5 state area.

  • gregorys1 reviewThis place is probably one of the best kept secrets in Omaha! It's a little tricky to find, but well worth it!

  • bbob reviewRustic atmosphere, good food and a fine night out, you'll enjoy.

  • ammons reviewBy far the best steak I have ever had in Omaha and the surrounding area. The atmosphere is relaxing and the service is wonderful. Give it a try, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

  • jansmith reviewWe took a client to the Drover last night. We arrived at 6:30, had drinks and ordered about 6:45. Our food was not served until 8:10. Of the seven people in our party, six said their meat was cold and most agreed it was overcooked. One baked potato was so hard it could not be eaten. Other baked potatoes were also not done. Our visit was embarassing and we will not take another client to this restaurant.

  • lhroth1 reviewNew Year's Eve was spectacular! Though people to people, we were served with such courtesy and exemplary care. The whisky steaks and crab legs were superb as expected. The updated bathrooms and lighting made our dining experience even warmer than before, in spite of the lovely fireplace warmed atmosphere. Spending our money at a locally owned restaurant beats the heck out of all the chains out west.

  • mapa reviewI had a great experience at the Drover. Salad Bar and Potato were great, and the tender, juicy steak was the best I've had in this town. Go for the whiskey bone-in ribeye and you'll be knawing like a coyote before you're finished.

  • ChefMozThis is the place we take out of town guests to show them what real Omaha beef is. A little dark, but there's no way to hide the great flavor. Don't let the salad bar and huge baked potatoes fill you before you finish your steak. Good service.

  • ChefMozThe Drover serves the best steak in Omaha without question. Beef is of choice quality and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is impecable and don't be scared because it has a salad bar. This isn't your Dad's Sizzler. Bring a healthy line of credit. A ten minute perousing of their great list of Cabernets is recommended. Don't forget to start off with a Kentucky Bourbon to properly prepare your gut for pure Omaha beef heaven! If your in town for one night, this is your place. However, ask someone how to get there, it's hard to find.
