  • kdevlin00 reviewWith the late lamented demise of Old Original Bookbinders, at which I had the honor to be among the Knights of the lunchtime Round Table, lunch in Philadelphia had become a haphazzard experience. Then, Georges Perrier to the rescue! The signature crab cakes are without equal, as is the staff, the service, and the wine cellar. Five stars! (six of there could be). Georges, thank you for rescuing me from the clutches of the putative up-market chain-retaurants which now dominate the Philadelphia scene.

  • s reviewI had lunch there two times. The first time was execllent. The second time I was disappointed with the crab cake which they tout as a signiture dish. It was more of a crab omelet. It had little crab and lots of egg. I could not finish it.

  • latnldy7 reviewI had lunch at this restaurant and the food was wonderful. I highly recommend it especially because the price is reasonable at a third of the cost for dinner.

  • Christine N.Get there early to have a drink in the downstairs bar. If you have a birthday they have a custom menu for you. I had the 4-course meal and that was plenty!

  • Foobooz PhiladelphiaJacket required. Check out Chez Georges downstairs for a la carte options and a generally more affordable dinner.

  • USA TODAYChef Georges Perrier prepares a seasonal menu. The main courses find their equal in the restaurant's famous dessert cart, laden with sweets like opera gilded cake with 24-karat gold leaf.

  • Lauryn A.souffle is not on the dessert menu, but if you're a fan and you ask, they will make it...we did, and it was delicious!
