  • ChefMozWe visited Monk's in October 2002 for the first time. The small restaurant reminded me of a typical little Belgian cafe. Not fancy but cozy. We loved the food and the selection of Belgian beers. I ordered the mussels and frites and was in heaven. My husband enjoyed the chicken sausage and apple sandwich. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was also very good. We went there for lunch on a Saturday. I have been told that their weekends, during dinner hours however, get very busy with a sometimes 1 to 2 hour wait. No reservations are accepted. Like I said,we loved the food and the atmosphere. It brought back fond memories of all the great food I enjoyed growing up in Belgium!!!
