Arturo's Italian Restaurant of Plantation Reviews
Food to a very long time to deliver, and for the price it was not worth it; it seems the restaurant thinks it is a lot better than it is.
We were one of the few occupied tables last Tuesday night, celebrating my mother's birthday. She had enjoyed lunch there and suggested the place. I called from NY a week later and got nothing but a hard time from Melissa, who called herself a manager. I think she just left the phone off the hook and walked away. No excuses for steaks not done to order, the better 3 deserts not being avilable and numerous other miscues. I suspect that they had a dishwasher cooking that night. Veggies tasted reheated, steaks were tasteless, only the snapper was good.
I went on my anniversary on a wednesday night with my 2 young children. There were only 6 other people in the restaurant. It took an hour to get our food. I asked my waiter to at least bring the shrimp and pasta for the children, but he did not. I again complained at the 45 minute mark. He went into the kitchen and I heard the snippy female chef SCREAM at him...."what do they want from me....everything is fresh...the vegetables are fresh...the pasta is fresh..." She is a disgrace to the establishment. When the waiter came to my table WITHOUT the food again...I told him to save his breath and tell the chef I heard EVERYTHING. What an idiot. The chef came out and made a nasty remark under her breath on our way out. Something about "waiting". I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK. I called today to complain and asked for the manager and she answered. I could tell by her snippy voice. I will keep calling until I get the manager.
This place took 18 of us at the last minute on a Saturday night at 9pm (Jan. 27, 2007) and they were the absolute best! The service was great, the food was great, the people were great, this place is a winner and we will be back.
It took 1 hour and 10 minutes to get our food, they were not even apologetic. We asked what can be done to please us regarding this and the owner as well as the managers were extremely rude. I would never step foot in there again. They are way overpriced to be treating their customers the way they do
We wanted a nice place with good food for lunch. Jack, the waiter, greeter, every-job-person served us coffee in chipped cups from a spotted, bottom of the pot coffee pot. As the only people lunching just before noon, we should have had a freshly made pot of coffee. For an upscale restaurant, there was no raw sugar which today should be found in nicer places. Then the wilted, old lettuce Greek salad arrived with a grilled chicken breast that had been microwaved and grilled several days ago. It was inedible besides being teeny tiny and revolting to look at. The baked brie's fruit was also not freshly cut and the grapes were just beginning to pucker. I felt so bad because my daughter who is a student was treating for lunch and I had recommended Sterling Worth because years ago my friends had made me a surprise dinner party there. Basically the place is beautiful and the food beyond disgusting. How sad... there are so few independent restaurants to go to.
My family of 10 took me out to dinner on Mother's Day. We were lucky to get a table for 10 on such a busy day. The food and service was wonderful. Very upscale decor.
I have to say that I have experienced fine ding before but never like this. I was completly satisfied! The food was delicious, the service was great and the night life kept me there all night. A really good time! The perfect place to have an enjoyable night out.
Called today to ask about hosting a group of professionals at the restaurant and was transfered to a VERY rude employee who told me "Lady, I'm too busy right now. I have 3 people waiting". Nice.
We had an awful time here. When we had a complaint to the manager that our food took over an hour she said that was normal for "fresh food". The manager/owner was rude and irresponsible for the mistakes of the evening. I have gone to this restaraunt before but never again. The food was fair.Overpriced for food and service.
No tips for delivery guy once Obummer starts his federal excise tax of $2 per delivery...may be cheaper to call a cab
